Wasim "Cohen" is a scumbag. It's not nice to call names - but this is literally the best adjective to address his attitude toward customers AFTER they have given this store their money.
I've worked in furniture for many years and one thing you do not do - is call a customer a "liar" - repeatedly, especially especially BEFORE checking to see if the customer was right or wrong.
I'm writing this review second hand as after calling the store and speaking directly to Wasim who hung up on me after refusing to give us the corporate or contact information to the franchise owner (in this case, his father). My brother purchased a 5 piece sectional fabric reclining sectional under the agreement of a %5 discount and free delivery.
The sofa was delivered with only 4 pieces. At which time my brother promptly called and asked where was the 5th piece? Wasim spoke to my brother saying that the ticket was only written up for 4 pieces - saying that they paid less because of the discount.
To which my brother said no the salesperson (Omar) told him the "'military discount" was the percentage off and the agreed to free delivery all pieces.
This is where Wasim said "You are in the military and you are lying to me? You are a liar". (Repeatedly)
Only after my brothers pregnant wife walked into the store and was told BY Wasim "This issue is between you and God!" - did he order the missing piece and refused to deliver the piece that was supposed to be delivered the first time.
NEVER buy from a store when there is no hierarchy or corporate entities to which the store is accountable to! This is one of those stores. Trying to call to get Wasim's Dads contact information proved to be utterly futile.
If this had been a corporate store - the moment the manager allowed the words "You're in the military - you are a liar" to come out of his mouth - there would have automatically been a $300 to $500 discount after the customer threatened to cancel the entire order.
These stores conveniently allow zero returns without the managers approval.
Verbatim "All cancel sales requests must be approved by store manager."
Which, in layman's terms means - they legally do not have to give you your money back at all, for any reason.
Stay away from any store with terrible policies and Managers with Terrible attitudes with zero customer service skills, who also cannot do simple math.
Dishonest,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM HERE! * I AM REPORTING THEM TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU!!!! WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. I am currently on the phone with them for the FIFTH time. Between Virginia and Brenda, they don't know
what is going on. I have requested to speak with a manager and have not received a phone call. It has been 6 weeks now that I have been waiting for my furniture with NO DELIVERY DATE STILL. FOUR THOUSAND $$ worth of furniture!!! You better believe they had no problem cashing my check right away too! I am filling out a complaint to the BBB as we speak. I have NEVER been so angry with a company.
Complaint Type: Service Issues Problem: The only thing that went right about my $4000 transaction with this company was picking out the furniture and paying for it. Four weeks after purchasing and paying in full I still hadn't heard a word from this company. I called and left two voicemails- neither were returned. I called again and was put on hold for over 20 minutes. Called again and finally got through to someone who said my furniture would be ready for delivery in the 10th of July. (6 weeks after purchase.) I was told someone would call me for the delivery information before the delivery date. I requested at this time to have a manager call me. Yesterday, the day bedore delivery, I had to call them again because I still hasn't heard. They were confused - Brenda and Virginia had no clue. They were not apologetic at all. Brenda told me she would have to "check the address and get back to me on whether she could put us on the delivery map or not." I again requested to speak to a manager. I was told he "probably didn't see it." So delivery was scheduled for between 9:30/12:30 today and it was delivered on time. However! The two night stands with the bedroom set were not delivered with the furniture. I called back yet again- I told the woman who answered the phone that I would be contacting the better business bureau. She insisted on calling me back because she had someone waiting at the counter. I told her I already paid for my furniture and an escalated customer service issue should be dealt with as a priority but obviously she only cared about another sale. I am floored with the horrendous customer service I have been provided and will make it my personal mission to ensure that people know about this company before...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNEVER EVER EVER AGAIN!!!! On Tuesday, JCPenney was having a great President's day sale, but I wanted to shop local. I called up Cohen's and asked them to match the price of $265 and Wasin said wow that's a great deal, absolutely. He told me to come in on Wednesday to sign off and pay, and he would let the Wednesday staff know of the sale.
On Wednesday we got a lot of snow, so I called to ask if we could come Thursday instead. Wasin was not there, but Eli was. Eli told me "well JCP is out of stock now, so we can't do $265, but we can do $300." After arguing with him over what we had agreed upon, he said "Well I'm not going to kill myself over $80, sorry." I was livid and decided I would take my business to a different Cohen's store. I called the location on Dupont Highway and spoke with Mo and told him of the situation. He was very nice, confirmed that JCP did have that deal the day prior, and drew up a sales slip for my husband to come in on Thursday to sign.
So today (Thursday), my husband went in to sign it. Wasin had been at that location, saw the sales slip, and jacked up the price. His defense was that JCP was out of stock even though they were IN STOCK on Tuesday. When my husband asked to speak to someone above him, he said there was no one above him. My husband asked really? there's no one above you?.... Wasin's answer was "Only God". Wasin told my husband that he would sell them to him for $400 and if he wasn't going to take them at that price then to get out the f* out of his store.
Bottom Line: I could have just bought the chairs for the $265 at the big box store on Tuesday, but was promised that price at a local store. I now no longer have the ability to purchase them at JCP because Cohen's acted in bad faith. I cannot believe the level of pure disrespect and I...
