My daughter is six years old. We live in Industry, Maine. Over the past two years the play museum in Wilton has been a godsend to our daughter and our family. Joni, Stephanie, and Eryka have a wonderfully inviting, pleasant, and mindful presence as the hosts to the facility. They feel like family. They have created an environment that is heavy duty, yet homey, effortlessly carefree yet focused and educational, spacious enough to free the mind and soul of our child yet cozy and warm, a successful meeting place for the extended community in Maine and their family abroad, a place mindful enough to place a few benches for the old folks to sit in while our children play. The games and displays range from open ended creativity rooms, a piano room, a special effects room, a fairies room that mimics a forest, an arts and crafts room, a building room, a magnet block and language room, ramps for toy cars, a large dedicated train track building room, musical stairs to go up, a quiet room where parents can read stories to their children, and special events that bring the community together. The themes of the rooms reveal themselves just like Maine does, as you explore them. Families in the community often gather in the play museum with the feeling of a community that transcends traditional challenges for children to find time to spend with each other. Cleanliness is a priority for parents. The play museum is immaculately clean. Visitors leave their shoes behind in a room close to the entrance. The bathroom is large, brand-new clean, and reassuring as a place to continue potty training while visiting. Out of the play museums we have visited, including large destinations like the childrensā museum in Chicago and the play museum in Portland, we would hands down chose the Wilton Play Museum over any if the options. As a father of a six year old child, we could only wish that my families home was a replica of the play museum in Wilton, Maine. Thank you Joni! Thank you Stephanie!...

The lovely lady at the front desk was a gem and told us the wonderful history of the building and assisted us every time an air tube got jammed with too many balls. š The entire family loved this day. Parents and grandparents had as much fun as the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe brought our 6 and 10yr olds here on a rainy day and it was a great activity. The museum was clean and well maintained. There were different activities to do in each room and our 6yr old had a blast. I'd say that's a good age or younger. It was nice that there were other kids and she could make a friend to play with...
