Title: Exceptional Surgical Experience with Dr. Brian Alder
I recently underwent cataract and glaucoma surgery performed by Dr. Brian Alder, and I am compelled to share my outstanding experience for anyone considering his services. Dr. Alder is not only a master of his craft but also a professional who genuinely cares for the well-being of his patients.
From the beginning, Dr. Alder was thorough in explaining my condition and the options available for surgery. He detailed the differences between the traditional lens, typically covered by Medicare, and the innovative Light Adjustable Lens. His explanation was clear and insightful, making it evident that he prioritizes the best outcomes for his patients.
Choosing the Light Adjustable Lens, a newer technology not covered by Medicare, was made confidently thanks to Dr. Alder's guidance. His assurance in the technology's ability to significantly improve my vision proved to be true. After more than 65 years of depending on glasses, I am now able to read the smallest print without any assistance. This surgery has truly given me a new lease on life.
Beyond his surgical expertise, Dr. Alder's approach to patient care is compassionate and comprehensive. He ensured I felt informed and comfortable throughout the process, highlighting his dedication to patient satisfaction. The professionalism and kindness of his support staff also contributed to a positive and reassuring experience.
I am immensely grateful for the positive impact Dr. Alder has had on my life. His dedication to his patients and his craft is admirable. For anyone seeking surgical care in his specialties, I cannot recommend Dr. Alder highly enough. The quality of my life has been significantly improved, and I believe others will find the same is true under his...
Read moreI walked in for an eye exam. There’s a sign that says optical here, sign in. I walked up to the sign. There’s a woman sitting there with a clipboard full of names. She says you don’t have to sign in you’re the only one here. I told her I’m here for an eye exam and she points me towards a kiosk and tells me to go over there and fill out my information. So there’s a perfectly capable person there that could take information and she sends me to a non-personal kiosk that wants me to scan my drivers license for the first step. I’m there for an eye exam not a driving test. So many companies having the customers do all the work like Walmart Home Depot and now the Shepherd Eye Center. There were plenty of people there to help me. Not one person approached me and the one person I did approach was very rude in my opinion. Not, hey welcome to Shepherd Eye Center how may I help you? No, just a rude finger pointing to the do it yourself kiosk. I don’t know what everybody else’s experience has been with them but mine was very impersonal. I walked out and nobody noticed. I’m sure that nobody will call to find out why I didn’t attend my appointment. It’s a shame how customer service is being turned into the customer does all the work for the companies. It’s a very big shame. Something I may have to get used to in the future but today is not that day. If you call my company he will get Greeted by a human being that will spend any amount of time with you on the phone to make sure that you were taken care of. This was my second attempt to get an appointment at the Shepherd Eye Center. The first time nobody even called me back. I should’ve learned then that these people this company really...
Read moreTerrible appointment! First of all there was someone in the waiting room with a deep, wet cough. Who does that these days?! I was at this appointment bc of a mistake made by someone on my perscription. That shouldn't have happened to begin with. Waited way too long for the doctor portion of my visit. Then Dr. Mancuso was rushed and in a bad mood it seemed. He acted like he was trying to be nice and it was apparent. Actually, He was rude. I didn't make him run late. But he took it out on me. He was quite clipped in his answers to my questions. And rushed. Then I went into dispenser business to get a small repair of a nose piece. That lady was rude also! She replaced the missing nose piece and handed back my glasses without fitting my glasses or even cleaning them! There were smudges on both lens. When I tried to ask her for a cloth to clean them myself, she turned her back on me and ignored me. I know they are a different business, but it still reflects on you. I have tried to find frames at this location 3 times without luck. My husband wanted to get frames there and they were all small sizes. And he is regular sized. But no frame selection to fit. We have heard all of the excuses of the business having new owners. Well, how is that working?? NOT. They should just close until they get their new stock in. Also, probably my age, but the dispenser people dress very casually in sport related tops. Not a professional look in an office except maybe on a special homegame day or something like that. I hope I never have a reason to return to this office. You used to have a great reputation in Las Vegas and Henderson. But not...
