I use this place in emergency only - like if I need something fast and can't wait for mail - order. First time I went I got there an hour before posted closing time and the place was dark. (15 mile drive) Recently I went there and proprietor had some possibly socially-challenged buddies hanging out with him. I was having problems with stuck fermentation which I shared and he proceeded to tell me I didn't know what I was talking about. He called me out on facts that I know to be true, stating he had been making wine since he was five years old . The whole conversation had a demeaning and unfriendly feeling. And his friends were pretty sullen, too. On top of the unfriendly treatment some of the products I bought that day had a very-soon expiration date - presumably because he doesn't sell much product.
