Johnson Pool & Spa — Attraction in Windsor

DON’T EVER HIRE Johnson Pool FOR ANYTHING!!! They’re dishonest and unethical. They ruined my plaster and refuse to take responsibility or pay anything toward repairs. The pool was perfect 6 months ago in April and I rolled the cover back to find it completely bleached out in Sept from extreme salt and calcium damage. Why did the pool guy who comes every week for $200/month never mention anything?? I thought it was strange and lazy that the pool guy never rolled the cover back but it turns out Johnson only allows 10 minutes per pool or you get a check mark and when you get 3 marks you’re fired. That shows how greedy and cruel this company is. The poor guy got the chemistry completely wrong and took the beautiful finish right off by trying to hurry and not lose his job. DON’T let them ruin your pool! It happened fast and they just tell you a bunch of lies because they don’t want it to seem like they don’t know anything about pools. Bad pool chemistry is the ONLY cause of rapid surface deterioration! The company has always been marginally terrible and made many mistakes on our solar panels and I should’ve cut ties long ago. I got talked into putting better ‘caps’ on my solar as a preventative measure and all of a sudden I had multiple leaks in the panels. I was told it was probably birds pecking the holes and paid hundreds of dollars to have it fixed. It seems that’s their thing, causing problems to charge you more money.

This is no small job, it's $29,000 to resurface a plaster pool.

If you’re currently a customer I would drop them immediately as your pool surface is likely deteriorating as I write this. You can’t just destroy someone’s swimming pool and get away with it. The first photo is from when left (perfect gray surface) and then six months later...

I haven't yet started my project with Johnson Pool, but I was compelled to write a review based on my first interaction with the company. We recently moved into our new home and I want a pool -- I have been online, on the phone and searching for someone qualified to do a new pool build to no avail. In fact, out of roughly 10 contractors/builders only one had the courtesy of responding, though he declined because of "distance", he said. This morning I called Johnson -- I was so surprised, not to mention thrilled, to have a live person answer on the first ring. His name is Vince and he is quite frankly the most personable, helpful person I've yet to encounter in a service-related situation. He carefully explained the process, listened attentively, and put up with my overly-excited reaction to the fact that Johnson will be able to help me! I want to give Vince highest marks on all counts and cannot wait to start my project...

After showing Clint the work area, he and his partner started unloading and got straight to work. When they left, the area was cleaner than when they arrived. Clint explained how to manage the spa and heater remotely from an app on my phone. My spa blower unfortunately also needs to be replaced, so that’s on order. The men were clean, polite and quiet. They did a wonderful job and I look forward to working with them again when the spa blower arrives. Don’t hesitate to call them, first class service! Also decided to have them as my weekly pool maintenance service. My past pool service company didn’t have the courtesy to follow up with a heater quote for 2 years nor fix a valve the broke by overturning it.
