I was visiting Windsor and was looking up restaurants to eat and saw that this was very highly rated! I’m not too familiar with Himalayan and Nepalese food so I was excited to try it out! It was pretty busy for a weeknight dinner but we didn’t have to wait for a party of 2. We sat inside and parking was easy as there is plenty of street parking. After we ordered we were even given a warm towel to wipe our hands on. We ordered mango lassi’s, vegetable samosas, chicken korma curry with white rice and garlic naan, and we wanted to try something different that we don’t usually see so we got the fried noodles of the Himalayas with shrimp. The mango lassi was amazing, the vegetable samosas came with tons of sauces. We read that they give our complimentary lentil soups but I think that’s only for lunch so we didn’t bother asking. We opted for the chicken korma curry because it was highly rated and it met its expectations! We got ours a little spicy too and it was filled with so much flavor and texture, you can def tell the different spices and ingredients compared to a regular masala or curry. It paired so well with the garlic naan. They serve momos there which are dumplings from Nepal but we opted for the stir fried noodles of the Himalayas with shrimp. When trying to explain how it tasted which was really good, it reminded me of a Mongolian bbq with special types of mixing! I would highly recommend. We were way too full for dessert but they had tea bags on the table too. The service was great and very friendly and we really enjoyed our meal here, I’d definitely come back!

BEST Indian food we have ever had!! My husband and I were visiting the area and had dinner here for our anniversary. The service and food was outstanding. Our server was quick, very attentive, extremely accommodating and so kind - truly above and beyond service, with a big smile and a wonderfully pleasant attitude. We ordered the Flying Horse Beer (from India), rosé, (both super refreshing), the fried spicy cauliflower (SO good), the garlic cheesy naan (RIDICULOUSLY good), the baby back ribs, and spicy coconut chicken with vegetables and basmati (Amazing!!). Our server also included a cup of their delicious house made soup to start and brought us a side of the Tikka Masalaa to try with our entrees. I’m only disappointed that we were so full we didn’t have room for dessert! We will absolutely be coming here every time we visit Windsor. They are a wonderful restaurant with such outstanding service and excellent food that they deserve everyone’s business!

Very good Indian and Nepali restaurant with authentic food. Surprised to find such a good food so far away from the city. Ended up ordering only the mild sauce level food, but to my delight it turned out to be still very tasty. If you happen to visit this place, don't forget to try their dessert Gulaab Jamoon. A real treat to your taste buds. Made the traditional way as in India this is made in Rose Milk and gives the flavor and taste that you don't get with the usual sugar syrup. Samosa Chat is on the sweeter than the other places primarily with the Apple bits that are added gives that an added taste of sweetness to the otherwise a spicy dish. The Tofu Tikka Masala is made with tofu stuffed with raisins and nuts and the creamy sauce is full of spices that gives an added taste that otherwise might be simple and bland. It's a great feast for my taste buds and that's not an easy one to say especially all we had was food with mild spiciness. I am

Quite late in writing this review but just did not get time to review previously plus a little lazy (ha) finally got around to it and had to write this review as we had a wonderful experience dining in this establishment.

We visited here in June 2023 and stopped here for dinner when visiting the sonoma valley. Since we had been to an Olive ranch tour in the afternoon and had late lunch and a little tired , we were not very hungry but were a little "pekish". We went here about 8:30 pm since it was only 10 minutes away from our hotel

Food - Menu had a wide choice for vegetarians and as we were not very hungry we ordered less food than normal. We started off with avocado bhel as that is not something you have at every indian restaurant. That was very delicious and presented very nicely. Had a nice crunch as all bhels should. We also ordered the samosas and then finished off with naan and Potates & Pea curry. The naan and curry was also really good; curry had the right balance of spice and not very runny. For dessert we had Rasmalai and that was ok but I have had better in other places (p.s. I have a high standard for ras malai as that is my favorite dessert so I tend to be more critical)

Service - the service was as expected and waiters were pretty friendly

Ambiance - Nothing fancy but nice clean neighborhood place to go and enjoy a meal. I did not come looking for ambiance

Overall I would recommend this place at least from a vegetarian food...

I read through the 1 star comments because I was shocked to see that anyone would give this restaurant a 1 star review. As a fellow food service worker it saddens me to see so many people talk negatively about slow service. Making food takes time, especially when it is high quality food and it is busy. Do not go out to eat if you are expecting to get food in 10 minutes, if that’s what you want go to McDonald’s or something. You are paying for high quality food and a very nice, generous, and attentive staff. Everytime I eat here I tip 30% because everything here is just that good. If you are reading these reviews to decide if you want to eat here please ignore the negative comments, they are sad individuals, while some may have had negative experiences, restaurants are not perfect, you cannot make everybody happy, but they do the best they can and are very good at their jobs and service. Food is amazing by the way!!! Everything here I’ve had is amazing. My favorite is the spicy chicken tikka masala and the special pumpkin curry. Both are very savory, flavorful and enjoyable. 100% my favorite restaurant, couldn’t be better...
