I was honestly slightly disappointed. I was so excited when I found this place while planning my husbands birthday. I sent a request through the site and received a call back pretty quickly. I explained that it was for my husbands birthday and I wanted it to be special. Didn't seem like that would be an issue at all. When we got there they didn't know what I was referring to when I said I made reservations...not a big deal though, we got there early and there was plenty of seating. We sat at the bar and each ordered a drink and also ordered a cheese plate and a Charcuterie plate. Nothing was mentioned when we ordered that they did not have the almonds, olives or veggies that came with the plate. We mentioned to our server that we were missing some things and she told us that they didn't have them...or they had them, but they weren't ready and wouldn't be ready that night. We also did not get any of the jams or mustards that were supposed to come with the cheese plate. The meats and cheeses were both delicious, so it was quickly forgotten. We then decided to order some "truffles". They were described beautifully and I was excited to try them. I was disappointed when I realized after biting into them that they were only cake balls covered in chocolate. They still tasted good, but they definitely weren't truffles. I hate to complain about places, and I'm totally understanding when things aren't in stock or ready when ordering, but I feel it should be told up front and not when the customer realizes they didn't get everything. If I hadn't noticed, it wouldn't have ever been mentioned to us. I also would have expected a small discount on the plate cost given the circumstances, but that was not offered either. I'm not going to say it was terrible, my husband still enjoyed his birthday but I really don't think we'll...
Read moreMy husband and I truly enjoyed this place. It wasn't busy which I believe made it so much nicer. Ms. Phyllis was knowledgeable about all of the wines and food. We were able to make great choices with her advice. Chef Victoria brought us our charcutierie board and cheese board. She explained what everything was and the best way to enjoy it. I will say the Smoky Mountain Round on a crostini with the jam is heaven in your mouth. We also enjoyed their Two Triangles wine which was sweet but not too sweet. We even bought a bottle to bring home. The mustard they serve with the meat is flavorful. It is stone ground Dijon on steroids. The flavor melds perfectly with the meats we selected. The staff, the atmosphere and the food were excellent. We will be returning soon and have already told many of our friends about this exciting place. They also have jazz music on Saturday nights but we were too early. We look forward...
Read moreI am pleased with this place every time I go. The food is always consistent. However, I have noticed the service changes sometimes depending on who you get. One night it wasn’t busy last week and no one checked on us over 30 minutes, we could have 1- bought more drinks or 2- left without paying because the lady didn’t know we didn’t check out by the Time someone else checked on us and apologized. The chef lady gave us water. I love the meat plates and cheese - the selections are great. I used to get the beer on tap but I found a white wine I like since the beer selection is not many to choose, overall great ambience. On Saturday you have to get there by 7 to have a comfortable seat for...
