I went in yesterday with my sister. No one even acknowledged us. There was a man by the name of Omar (I heard a woman yell his name out) and two women. One was with a man who was asking about a discount on a watch and that’s when she yelled to Omar. The other was at the counter. We waited a bit bc we wanted to see a necklace. I went and stood where I could be seen and woman at counter just looked at me. Didn’t say hi nor we’ll be right with you. Nothing. She tells the man they can give him a a $25 discount… The girl then comes to where we’re at. Says nothing. Just stands there so we say we want to see a necklace which she takes out but see another one and ask to see that one and as she goes to grab it the phone starts to ring and she says hold on I have to get the phone. Really? There were two other associates there and the only one with a customer was her. So she runs to the phone answers then comes back. We go to see one last necklace and I ask her if they can go down on the price a little and she says no not at this time. I guess she’s the manager? Bc she surely didn’t yell out for Omar like she had with the other guy. By this time I see she has no interest in selling and has no idea what customer service is. We left. We went down the road to La familia Pawn and jewelry and they were excellent!! From their great customer service to their beautiful jewelry! No comparison at all. Do yourself a favor and just go there. We got a beautiful $800 necklace for a great price! You...
Read moreI’ve come here several times, and have found purchases to make about 50% of the time, which is high for me. The staff have always been at least courteous, but more often friendly and personable.
The great staff are willing to bargain a bit especially if the item you’re buying isn’t 100%, but they do seem to have some hard limits on pricing in mind.
I recommend fully testing anything that you buy before paying or leaving the store. If you find that the item you want to purchase is somehow defective (like a game console, tool, or computer, for instance), I found them open to offers to compensate. My experience was that for each item’s defect asking for a physical replacement substitution or a compensation in price was seen as reasonable.
In the end of my most recent visit, I went in and stumbled on a purchase that wasn’t complete, but...
Read moreWhen I arrived they would not give me a simple quote on a gold diamond ring and required me to provide a ton of personal information. After about 5 minutes of going through all the steps, they had 2 staff members take another 15 minutes putting the ring through several tests to verify it's worth. After all of this, they tried to rip me off stating that it was stainless steel and offered me $25!!! That same day I got 2 other quotes from other pawn shops that verified it was gold with real diamonds and offered me $300 and $350. If a local shop is your preference, I would highly recommend another one with initials "L" and "F" about 1 mile away on rte. 50. They were...
