0 Customer Service tonight at our Favorite Boba place . It's extremely sad when business changes Staff members and don't train them to have absolutely any manners. To the Manager or owner PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't let that to happen to our Favorite Boba place in the area. Thanks in advance!! We are a family of 6, we always spent our money with you guys because you are the Best in Town. I will start telling you that we drive 25 to 30 min. to go to your place. When we first walked in tonight October the 5th , 2021 around 6: 30 to 7pm, instead of greetings first , we got yell at. The cashier & her helper started yelling at us to put our mask, ( they should be more polite and careful in the way they talk to older people)my family have their mask on but I , Mom ,forgot mine. They told us that they run out of mask and for me to go to Publix to get one. We walked all the way to Publix & they also run out of mask. At that moment I have to go back to my car and finally found one of my mask from the time we got Vaccinated six month ago. We started to order & ask for the fun drinks of October, they were very rude saying they didn't have this year. Then we order 4 large Smoothies with Boba . 2 were Pumpkin Spice, one Awesocado , and a Grandma's perfume. They mixed the drink horribly with lots of ice no flavor, and one of them they forgot to make it as a Smoothie. And the Cashier started embarrassing us in front of all the other Customers saying that we needed to ask for it when we at the beginning said we wanted Smoothies. I drove all the way home to find out that my Smoothie the Awesocado was totally unsweetened, the whole night was a disaster. Hopefully better days will come our way. I know the Owner or Manager, and I know he is a very nice person who make any effort to make his Customers Happy. But tonight was bad. Hopefully you will address this problem soon, before you...
Read moreI’m not one to normally review places, however, I feel really strongly about this one. Lucky Straws goes above and beyond for me every time in the past five years I’ve been going there. The bobaristas are all incredibly kind and remember each customer who comes into the establishment. I frequent there pretty often so I’ve gotten to the point that when they see me come in they loudly greet me by name and get right to work on my ‘usual’ (Pomegranate slush w/peach popping pearls. To. Die. For.). The funniest thing is that I’m not really one to usually talk to the staff when I go places, but the team at Lucky Straws is always something I look forward to.
The place is decorated with all kinds of fandom-related tchotchkes and display cases containing video game/anime memorabilia as well as various games for people to play as they wait for their drink, making it an interactive museum cafe of sorts. (At the time of writing this they recently added two dart board machines. Super cool). This is definitely the teen equivalent of a bar, where teens can just come as they are, get a (non-alcoholic) drink, and hang out.
Lucky Straws also has the best boba tea I’ve ever had. As a college student, I’ve tried many other boba places across the U.S. and I always find myself wishing that I had Lucky Straws boba tea instead. (Their boba tea slushes are SO good for no reason). Kind staff, fun ambiance, and delicious/cheap boba make this place an unsung staple of the Winter Garden area.

Read moreI've been here several times now to get a good view of the place and here is my perspective:
Entering the establishment, you get the feel that everyone knows everyone. The owner is a young Asian man and greets you with a friendly smile. If you know your milk teas and your Boba, you can tell the Boba and tea is made fresh every day.
If you haven't had milk teas or Boba before, the owner Ben* (I totally thought his name was something more Asian, I'm an asphalt) will break it down and relate it to drinks or foods that the guest might like.
After making your drink, they seal it in a traditional heater and you select your straw and pop the seal with the pointy end. Select a seat and enjoy.
They have plenty of games and the crowd is mostly younger. Of the 4 times that I've gone, 3 times I've found Winter Garden PD enjoying beverages here on their breaks.
My mom and dad taught me, "wherever the police take their breaks is where there is good food and drinks".
They don't serve food here aside from small bags of chips, but people bring in food in from surrounding eateries and sit at the tables.
I give Lucky Straws a 5/5 stars for quality, friendliness, and a welcoming feeling you only get from friends and family. 6/5 for being sexy!
(They have video games and board games to play...
