Really enjoyed my brief visit to this newer restaurant in our area and I will definitely be back. Such attentive and helpful service.
The space is very clean and pretty inside with sort of an elevated supper club feel. And a very nice covered patio for outdoor dining.
I came on a weeknight for a drink at the bar (full bar and very decent wine options) and a takeout order. I received as much attention as if I had sat at a table with a larger party.
The menu is expansive and I was worried about steering through it with limited knowledge of Indian food, but the menu is presented on tablet with photos to scroll through, so I had some visual aid in addition to the useful descriptions.
I ordered the stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer—they were excellent and I saved none for my husband so he will have to return to try them. I also ordered the shrimp vindaloo and one of the chicken tikka options. Both served with rice. Both so, so good. Rich with seasonings. I was offered naan but since I limit my gluten intake I declined. I will bet it is yummy. I had intended to wait until my husband returned from a late work meeting to try all of this but I could not summon the willpower. The car drive home with the promise of all that deliciousness broke me.
Before presenting the bill, my server added 4 mini mousse cups as a thank you—two mango and two coffee. He set them in a separate bag so they would not be with the hot food. Very thoughtful and also a sweet, cool, light way to...
Read moreI was so excited, reading all of the wonderful reviews for this place- and to have a place close by to have great Indian food.
I will start out by saying the transformation from Tijuana Flats to an Indian restaurant is amazing. It’s nice inside.
Unfortunately, I found the food to be mediocre at best. Having lived in Ontario for many years, it is hard to find excellent Indian food outside of Brampton. There is an excellent place down close to Orlando Aashirwad, the food is worth the drive. It would have been nice to have a place to go. five minutes from my house, but it is not to be sadly.
I ordered, and paid for, garlic naan, but I got plain. I ordered chicken, tikka masala, mild. I normally get it medium, but I was not sure how spicy that is having never eaten here before. The mild was very mild.
The problem was the sauce just was not all that good. Normally there is no sauce left on my plate, but I scraped a good bit into the trash, and my daughter, who normally cleans her plate, didn’t eat hers either. I never have indigestion from Indian or other spicy food, and I’ve been suffering for the last few hours since I ate, which does not happen when I eat at the other place I mentioned.
I took my food to go, which is why I didn’t ask to correct the error on my order. It was not worth a dollar to drive back over, I just expected to get what I paid for, and I did not.
I don’t think I will go back. Sorry to be the voice of dissent but honestly it’s just...
Read moreMy wife and I had an exceptional dining experience at Indian Pavilion from the moment we walked through the doors until we paid the check. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our evening was perfect. Our server, Shuhaib, was particularly outstanding—he was attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu.
