Read moreOne of the most frustrating shopping experiences I've had in a very long time. The products, store set-up, and inventory were all as expected, however, the cashiers were a nightmare. They had a lot of customers when we walked in. We were prepared for this since it was a Sunday afternoon. A little more congested than a normal Sunday, but still manageable. The issue was with checkout. They only had two lanes open. Lanes 2 and 3. As you can imagine, the lines were exceptionally long. We waited for some time and one of the cashiers finally announced that lane 5 is open. We went from being the third in our line to the first in the newly opened line. Other customer immediately got behind us in hopes to get checked out fairly quickly. Well, that wasn't the case. We waited for about 5 minutes before some of us started asking if someone was actually going to open the register. Another cashier finally came up but instead of opening the register she started putting back items. She said to load the conveyer belt and that she would be with us shortly. By the time she came back, we were waiting for almost 10 minutes. By that time, other customers got out of our line and successfully checked out in the other two lanes. Once she finally started scanning, she was incredibly rude, disrespectful and visually angry. She threw our bananas in the cart with force, didn't listen when I told her she rang up too many of one item and I wanted it taken off and hit my husband with the cart. This cashier has no business working with people. I understand every business is short handed but there needs to be a vetting process. I will gladly pay more money to go to another store. Needless to say, I will not be returning and I would encourage anyone reading this to stay clear of...
Read moreI was way up in Woodbury the other day and knew I needed to pick up a couple things I like to get at the Aldi in Bridgeton and thought I remembered seeing one in the Southwood shopping center years ago so I figured I would stop in there on the way home. Much to my dismay though as I passed Southwood I did not see the store so I thought that either they had closed or maybe I was just remembering wrong. Not giving it much more thought I went to Woodbury, took care of the reason for going and then headed toward home with plans to stop at the Acme and see if they had what I needed without spending a fortune. After the long drive through Woodbury catching every traffic light red I was stopped at the light a block or so before the Woodbury Times building and saw what was a new store since the last time I had been up there that just so happened to be an Aldi. I of course was glad to see it there and stopped in parking in one of the limited parking spots they have there as I am guessing they figure a lot of people will walk in from the surrounding neighborhoods so a large parking lot is not needed quite as much. Upon entering the store I saw that it too was a larger store than the ones in Bridgeton and Vineland where I do a lot of my shopping so that was good because it also seemed like things weren't so crowded that they had rooms to display the prices better than they do at the other stores. If I lived closer to this store I'm sure I would be shopping here but the larger store isn't worth the extra 20 or so miles of driving to get here but if you live in the area it is...
