Buyer beware. After being a customer for 6 years, I am so disappointed. I've been incorrectly billed for 3 months in a row. They have overcharged my account by hundreds of dollars. I have spent countless hours trying to get this right. The staff, while polite, are ineffective. After unsuccessfully trying to escalate this to ownership and the regional manager, I am done. Leadership and customer service is non-existant at this location and there is no clear path to help from corporate . If you're a client, check your billing carefully. If you're looking for a lash provider - go somewhere else.
Edited: the comments below from the owner are beyond false. I was quite patient for 3 months of incorrect billing. In Nov. My account was first never upgraded properly and I had to pay out of pocket what should have been in a membership (so you pay a higher rate). Then in December was charged $298, when my membership is $149 a month (this includes 2 refills). January went ok. Then in February I was charged double again ($298 vs $149) and I was charged a cancellation fee of an additional $79.99 within 24 hours. I was very frustrated that the manager Nivea, who told me sheâd been the manager for only 2 days would not pass this ongoing issue on to someone with more knowledge and authority. I understood she could not have been to blame by working there 2 days. I did cancel my appointment by phone and email, but it was within their 24 hour policy. What should I have happened is a fill credit in my account I had per my agreement should have been charged, not that I would be charged an additional $79.99. Maddie, the other staff member who helped me, did her best and was always lovely, but somethings require ownership or higher management to step in. I do think after 6 years of being a member and being on the receiving end of multiple billing errors, the very least thing would be to not charge me for a missed appointment when I was sick and I did in fact email and call (Nivea acknowledged that salon read my email), but, technically, they donât have to. What they do have to do is not charge more, as I had credits on my account. But Itâs very clear they donât care. As of this posting, my account has still not been credited, I had to file a dispute with my bank. I also cannot get anyone to confirm that my membership has actually been cancelled. Iâm sure Iâll be billed again next month and Iâll spend more time and energy on the phone with the bank. So she just continues to lie in her response, instead of taking...
Read moreStudio was beautiful and I had such high expectations upon walking in for the first time. My stylist and the staff were also very friendly! I have been getting lash extensions for about 6 months now, mainly at a small boutique located in Uptown. I decided to try something closer to home and expected around the same quality at ALS as I am used to with my regular lash lady; not the case however. I emailed ALS and was told that my current extensions could not be filled because ALS does not work over other stylistsâ work and that I would have to get them removed before I was allowed to book an appointment for a new full set. So the next day I went to my regular and paid to have my lashes removed just so that I could book a brand new full set so that I could try out ALS. Turns out according to the stylist who did my lashes that that is not true at all. And if spending that extra unnecessary money on my lashes wasnât enough, my lashes did not turned out quality wise as I had hoped either. Upon opening my eyes - or not - 2 to 3 whole bunches of lashes on each eye were entirely glued shut. My stylist and I spent a good 5 minutes prying my eyelashes apart, only to find that extensions had been placed on 4 to 5 of my lower lashes as well which we also had to remove. Then we found that the corners of my eyes were still stuck together and, thinking that that would be the last of my problems, was even more disappointed to find that all of my lashes were placed way too far from my lash line. Length-wise my brand new set, which I hadnât even wanted to have to get in the first place, looked as though my lashes had already grown out for 2 weeks and were almost ready to be filled again. Now at home, picking through my lashes to double check them, Iâm noticing that 85-90% of my lashes are stuck together in bunches and are uncomfortable in multiple areas. Will try ALS one more time but I booked with a different stylist hoping to achieve higher quality results. Definitely not satisfied with the current quality. Was by far the most painful lash...
Read moreI tried canceling my membership after my first appointment, but was convinced to give it a try. I've had ups and downs with the service at this location and the same is true to a friend whom I referred over. The policy works differently for the salon and clients. AL can cancel or reschedule appointments on short notice but will charge the clients full price if they do. The customer service is pushy and not understanding even to MN roads and weather conditions during winter. My lashes only really looked good once I started to fill about every 10 days. I didn't like the results from the last couple of times however, I could see the clumps of glue in my eyelashes and they were sticking straight out and not uniform and I wasn't able to shape them. I finally lost it yesterday after being harassed by one of the girls about being 5min late. After telling I would be on my way and that I got delayed due to a work call she insisted on arguing with me about policies etc. Her tone was unprofessional and brash from the beginning. I don't feel like I need to justify myself to that point especially after stating I'd be on my way and would still make within the 15min grace period. A simple "Ok, just checking see you soon" would have done it. But I am a professional and busy individual, I deal with C-suite clients on a daily basis and have a very demanding job and lifestyle, I don't need to be tied up and under pressure by a lash studio. If the places who service me (last time I checked I was the one paying the bill and not the other way around) can't be flexible with me, then this is really not for me. I always call and inform of my whereabouts or try to reschedule my appointments according to policy. If I didn't yesterday it's because I really couldn't. I get 5000 calls every time I have an appointment, but since the event yesterday I have been left alone, even after requesting a callback. Relationships for me are a two-way street and this is a one way and doesn't work for me. I need my membership...
