This place just opened. It use to be an AMC. We didn't realize it was open until we googled it. But they are open and they offer all inclusive concessions! Uhm yes please! We were a bit nervous about how it all worked, but our visit was flawless. We purchased tickets online and picked our seats. When we got there, we went to the small counter on the left where a worker placed our wristbands on. I'm not sure if you are able to buy tickets once you get to the theater. They did not have the usual times and shows listed anywhere like other theaters do. I'm not sure if this is because they are new or they are going for a minimalist feel. We then proceeded to the concession stand to get our snacks. We went to a 9:45 showing on Friday night and it was not busy at all. There were about 5 workers at the concesssion stand waiting to help us. They explained how everything worked. With the all inclusive you get 2 bags of candy (they do not come in boxes but instead small pouches), 2 hot food items, popcorn, and a drink for every visit you make to the concession stand. At first I thought the portion of candy was kind of small but I didn't even finish it. The food hot items, popcorn, and drink were all a good proporation and we did not have to go back to the counter to get more food. They did have the coke freestyle machines where you can mix flavors. A few cons.. if you don't want to indulge in unlimited concessions you can buy a ticket from around $12 dollars, but doing this means you cannot even buy a single food item if you want. It's all or nothing. They stop serving concessions at 10:45, or at least they did the day we were there. I'm a little confused on if the unlimited concessions is all the time or just at peak times? The unlimited ticket is $20 dollars and if you want it but others in your party don't and you all want to book together.. they all have to get the unlimited ticket. Other than that, we had a great experience and it makes going back to regular theaters suck. Everything was clean, the employees were nice, and the...
Read moreTook my kids here for opening night of Minecraft. It was pretty busy, and the employees were running around and working hard, so I'm trying to be understanding, but I the experience was far from great. I don't usually patronize this theatre, as I typically go to another that I'm more accustomed to, and this visit did not convert me. Everything was a MESS. The drinks stations, popcorn butter stations, and even behind the counter. I was concerned an employee would slip on the piles of popcorn on the floor back there. Drink lids were all over, the butter oil dispenser was caked with oil...and I'm almost 99% certain the oil was rancid. I don't know if perhaps new oil gets poured in with old or if the machines don't get cleaned enough, but the popcorn tasted bad, and against my better judgemental, I ate it anyhow. The movie was starting, I'd already paid a ton for it and had skipped dinner. By the next morning, I had the worst case of food poisoning I'd ever had, and all I could smell and taste while sick was that rancid oil smell/flavor. It was AWFUL. Thankfully, it worked it's way out of my system by that evening, after hours of non-stop sickness, but I won't be recommending anyone visit this theatre, nor will I be returning any time soon. I'm so thankful my kids didn't touch their popcorn...they had the kid's trays, and only ate their candy and slushees...I was annoyed at the wasted cost that night, but what a blessing in disguise, considering I was hugging a toilet for hours the following day. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because of the young employees that were working their tails off trying to keep up and maintaining a good attitude, despite clearly being overwhelmed. They were clearly understaffed and I suspect ever issue I encountered is the result of poor management, and not the failure of the employees. I hope this review is taken seriously and changes can be made...
Read moreWe purchased the "Wicked Experience" that when I read the description says it comes with pink and green interactive bracelets to watch the new "Wicked" movie. We drove 40 minutes to this specific theatre just for this when we have an Emagine theatre about 20 minutes closer not offering the Wicked experience. When we got to the theatre none of the employees knew what we were referring to. Then they tried to say the bracelets are an extra cost after paying $18 a ticket for the movie. I chose Emagine theatre after hearing all the hype and come to find out it's no different than any other movie theater around such as AMC or MJR. Already felt duped on the tickets as they are more costly than other theatres for no apparent reason. The employees tried to tell us the bracelets were $19 for adults and $15 for kids. They went and got the manager and he tried telling us bracelets didn't come with our tickets either. I said that's false advertising. Eventually they gave us the bracelets. After the movie I looked at the ads online and it is very misleading. One ad says the bracelets are $8 and one ad says the bracelets come with the ticket purchase. The employees apparently had no idea there was even such a thing as an interactive bracelet. I can't believe this movie has been out for over 2 weeks and no one else has asked for their bracelets? This was supposed to be a nice Sunday out with our kids and my parents and it was very upsetting to start our experience this way. Emagine needs to get it together and know what they are advertising so people know exactly what they are buying and or if they need extra money for the bracelets or not. If I had to buy the bracelets separately I wouldn't do it. Not...
