The Pleasant Pheasant Bookstore — Attraction in Woodland

I went there today. I had been wanting to check it out for a long time. It was not inviting at all. The guy there with his dog seemed totally uninterested in selling anything. They had one tiny rolling cart with books labeled “sale” and not enough books period. Had he been a welcoming sort of person when I asked questions he would have gotten up and asked questions to encourage a sale. If I owned a book store situated way back in the corner of a small shopping area that nobody can see from the street I’d make it cozy and inviting. Especially if you love books. Maybe my expectations...

This place is amazing. The owner was courteous and knowledgeable and able to order items that weren’t in stock. They have an amazing collection of games, kids books, comics and more mainstream literature. There prices might not be as cheap as amazing but it’s a blessing to find such a well curated collection in the heart of Woodland. Tucked behind Morgan’s Mill this is a shop not...

My kids and I love this jewel box of a bookstore. They have a really fun selection for all ages and we’re always pleasantly surprised by what we find while browsing. They have cozy chairs for kids (baby Poangs!) and grownups and they’re right across from a great coffee shop. Cute stationary and tea towels and calendars and stuff too. Super glad Woodland...
