Hobson Corner Park — Attraction in Woodridge

Cool off during this hot summer at the splash pad. This free, open splash pad has a series of fountains surrounded with benches, brick sitting wall, and a series of tables under a pergola with built in chess/checker boards (just bring your own pieces).

Next to the splash pad is a set of 5 tennis courts with a tennis wall when you need to practice, but don't have a partner.

The secret gem of the park are the three softball fields behind the tennis courts. What? You haven't noticed them before? They are hard to miss as you drive by, as they are partially hidden behind the water tower and the fire station.

Parking is plentiful, both in front of, and to the west of the tennis courts. Come have fun at Hobson...

Went for a morning of pickleball. There were players of all levels, and most the games were played inside their skill levels so no one was playing out of their skill set. They have 4 dedicated pickleball courts, and 4 tennis courts which also have pickleball lines on them. This morning there were 6 games of pickleball and 2 games of tennis being played, with only a couple players sitting out waiting...

Great place to play pickleball in the evenings esp since their 4 PB courts are lighted. They also have Tennis Courts that are well lit & marked for pickleball play. PB courts are abit slanted for the drainage & are usually packed with players. Just wish the button to prolong the lights were located closer to the PB courts. Good to have an option for...
