PARADOXsquared Adventure Escape Rooms — Attraction in Woodstock

The 4 of us went on a Friday evening for my wife's birthday. We had some previous escape room experience but are by no means experts.

Dr. Jim met us right at the front door. Actually out front of the door. He was in character and ushered us all inside. It was such a wonderful experience. Not your usual "here's the room, you have 60 minutes, raise your hands if you need hints".

We did the Mad Scientist room. Dr Jim was witty, and kookie, and very engaging. The room itself was just the right combination of difficulty, cleverness, and common sense to keep us all excited and busily problem solving right up to the very end. We escaped with 2m 14s remaining and we all felt giddy with a sense of accomplishment.

Highly recommend. If you've never done a room but want to try one or have done others, do yourself a favor and book a room. You won't regret it...

Unless you don't find the cure and the intelligence enhancing injection will make...

Updated Review: This is an updated review as I originally left a review that was keeping me from trying this place out, the price per player. Since that review the pricing structure per person has been changed and I was excited to try them out. I recently went here with my wife for a date night and had a blast! This is one of the best escape rooms that I have been to and I am happy it is in Woodstock as there is not much to do on a cold or rainy day. I cannot wait to return and attempt to escape their next adventure! "Have the courage to have your wisdom regarded as stupidity!"...

This was the best escape room that ive participated in! super fun and great for large or small groups. I went with a group of my friends and we got out with one minute to spare. It was challenging enough that we really had to use our escape skills but still fun and didnt get us angry at each other like other rooms weve done had. Definitely will go back and try other adventures. The owner was super into character and made the whole experience great! The price was very reasonable with how entertained we were with the game.
