Don's TV & Satellite — Attraction in Worcester

Brought my Tv to Andrew I believe his name is last Thursday, I told him what I believed was wrong. He told me it would be $50 down for him to look at it but that 50 would go towards fixing it. Told me he would call me Friday. Never called I called him he didn't answer. Saturday he leaves me a message saying that I was correct it was my backlight. Told me parts were no available to order but he was guessing it would be 150-175. Told me he would call me Monday. Monday did I get a call no I didn't. I called him Monday once again no answer. Tuesday no call. Wednesday no call at 4pm I called him guess what he answered. I wish he didn't because he was having a bad day and he decided to take it out on me his customer because of something in his personal life. He gives me attitude so I gave him attitude back. He tells me he doesn't know when the parts could come in. So we hang up he calls back 30mins later to tell me he's sorry and to tell me he know has a price and it would be $240. So it went from 150-175 up to $240! But wait he will do me a favor and do it for $190 still higher than both of his estimates. I would think someone who owns their own business would be a little better at customer service. Not impressed at all and it's great just throwing away $50. Thanks a lot Don's TV repair. Unprofessional, Was not made aware of the service fee until 20 minutes after arrival at my home. He never mentioned a fee or deposit. He FaceTimes my husband said he felt the tv could be fixed. My husband said he didn’t mention the cost of coming to look at the Tv at all not even when he called an hour before coming. Knowing most people don’t carry cash I find this to somewhat a SCAM tactic. We foolishly assumed it wouldn’t cost more than $75 just to diagnose the Tv. To our surprise $150 for a 15 minute diagnoses of a tv not worth fixing. If the price was discussed when the request was made we would have not had it looked at. Beware of the service fees before scheduling. The husband didn’t want to pay him but paid the fee and will take it as a lesson we learned. BEWARE...

Last night Andrew came to fix my T.V. at my house which was very convenient. the guy was very professional and had a great personality don't be fooled by the small business these are the people that go the EXTRA mile for you. It's the big business that are killing the little guy. I am very picky about who I allow to work on my car, and any other piece of equipment I value. some people will cut corners or take advantage of the consumer not Don's T.V. & Satellite. Andrew took the time to educate me on a few things which showed me he wasn't just there to make a buck. He is my T.V specialist for ever!!! it was great meeting you sir.... Support the little guy.... Big business is killing them. I will tell anyone who is having issues with their T.V or satellite...
