Girlfriend and I wanted to try new takeout so we were excited to take a chance at trying a new place! Wan Wang has now become our new favorite restaurant!
My girlfriend had the Chicken Finger and Crab Rangoon white rice combo and I went with Orange Chicken one of my favorites since childhood.
When we received our food we even received a full page menu stapled to the bag which right away we felt cared about and excited to get to the food and see the physical menu! We opened up our to go food and saw the food was filled up to the top and it was nice and steaming!
We agreed both of our rices were fluffy and the chicken in both were nice and crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside like a true pan fried cook! I was happy to see our rice was shining with natural color cuz I prefer stir fry style rice over fried with oil, seasoning, or msg loaded. It was some of the best rice I’ve ever had! It reminds me when my mom would spend as long as an hour making homemade stir fry rice!
Beef teriyaki sticks are nice and thick and juicy tender some of the best as well! Crab Rangoon are good and more on the mild cream cheese tasting side, not too sweet, and medium light heaviness! We agree this is some of the best and most fresh Asian food we’ve ever had and we hope to order again soon! : ]
Ordered again on 6/18 and wanted to try an upscale sushi so got the Mt. Fuji roll and got some spare ribs cuz the beef teriyaki was the best I’ve had and I wasn’t disappointed with the bbq ribs either! They also gave me a full container! Sushi roll craftsmanship and overall taste was super nice! None of the sushi flavors were overpowering and it had the sticky fluffy pillow consistency that sushi should have! Very happy again! Thanks Wan Wang!
I really recommend the orange chicken it’s not too sweet and not too spicy more natural style, Hunan or Singapore noodles is a good dry heat dish if you want something with less sauce, and the spare ribs, shrimp tempura or shrimp dumplings, and sushi rolls have been delicious! Everything I’ve had...
Read moreThe past two times I have been here I have been absolutely disgusted. A couple weeks ago somebody in my party ordered a drink and once they got to the end of it there was an empty fortune cookie wrapper. The only way this could have happened is if a guest were to put their trash into their cup, then the cup was reused for another customer’s drink before being cleaned. Absolutely disgusting, however they did take the drink off of our final bill. But it gets worse. Decided to give it another chance and went tonight and ordered a dirty Shirley with tequila. Was brought a drink with no ice and no sprite/gingerale, just straight warm tequila with a splash of grenadine. I took one sip and gave it back to the waitress and told her it was way too strong for me and not what I ordered/expected and would just like a water instead. She didn’t have any problem with this… until she brought the bill over. She said her boss told her that I had to pay for my drink, and if I had any issues with that I could go and talk to him. I went over and explained the situation to him. (Seriously, how many people do you know that return a drink for being too strong?? This thing was beyond nasty). He said “any customer knows that when they ask for a specialty drink they have to pay for it.” Since when is a Shirley temple a “speciality drink???” Also, why would I pay for a $12 drink that I didn’t even ingest and wasn’t even close to what I ordered? I again explained the situation to him and after receiving a lot of attitude he agreed to take the drink off of my bill. If you can not make such rudimentary drinks then you should not be running a bar. If you can not treat your customers with respect then you should not be running a business period. Sleazy...
Read moreOn 12/18/20, the two of us had amazing service and food. It was cold out and about to start storming but inside the place was warm and very welcoming. No worries about the weather and nobody trying to rush out to beat the snow.
We got the appetizer platter for two and the orange chicken.
the platter left us wishing we didn't order the meal! It comes loaded as a full meal for two with a great selection. Highly recommend it to anybody, if there's something you normally don't like (for me it was spare ribs) give it a chance here. The food is awesome and will leave you thinking "maybe the other places I've had weren't good"
the orange chicken has got a kick to it, plesantly surprised at the depth of flavor and freshness of the dish. Definitely not your standard "overly sweet orange sauce" I've found at other places. Just crispy enough and the broccoli with it cooked to perfection.
onto the service! Staff is amazing and very attentive, the teamwork is top notch and it's a case of good management showing here as well. They're not scared to grab the check or a couple boxes instead of finding the original server and having you wait. Everyone is friendly even off shift they're saying goodbyes.
Next time we gotta try the drinks instead of just the food, the bar was fairly full and we just decided to stop by and try the new place real quick. Looking forward to...
