Device Drop - PS5 Xbox HDMI Repair — Attraction in Wyandotte

if I could give this shop less than one stars I would.

I dropped off my IPhone X which had a faulty screen that became unusable. the quote was almost $500 from apple so the $200 quote from this shop sounded great and according to reviews the show was good right? wrong. After a month the screen without any cracks or being dropped glitched out and would not turn on. I went back to the shop because I assumed that the screen was just faulty. The tech told me that it was my fault and that there was no way it was his fault or a faulty screen and that he would have to charge me for a new screen again. So desperate to get my phone working I paid another $200 for a screen and bought a new otterbox case and screen protector to make sure that I wouldn't damage the screen again. Well here I am 2 months later with the same problem. no cracks, no scratches, no drops. just a broken screen.

Onto the second problem with this shop. The first red flag I should have been concerned about walking in is that you get a $5 discount if you can show them that you wrote a 5 star review. This is highly unprofessional and possibly illegal to pay for reviews.

The business is practically a scam and I would recommend any other shop or even a friend who thinks they can fix your device before coming here.

Response to owner: I specifically was told that writing a 5 star review would give a discount (I never wrote a 5 star review). That is the problem. Asking for a review is very different than specifically asking for a 5 star review. That is the problem I had with this. As well as the fact that I should not have the same problem with your repairs twice in the span of a few months. It proved that I had been out $400 either because you carry faulty products or because of the quality of repair. I did not come back because I had lost faith in this shop, and was disturbed by the way I have seen your staff deal with customers and myself when simply asking a question. 9 months ago I had both Switch and PS5 controllers with stick drift. He cleaned and fixed my Switch controllers. For my PS5, he discussed alternatives to just cleaning which have longer lasting effects. He installed new sensors that won't drift and can be programmable, with a 1-year warranty. So, sensitivity can be reset within the controller.

After 9 months of working flawlessly, I had an instance where the right stick had continued spinning. This could be reset by me with that programmable menu. I just called back to ask for a reminder on how to enter the programmable menu, and he said a newer option is available that makes use of magnets. Since I was within the 1-year warranty, he upgraded me to the later version for free.

Other notes about service are great. He explained things clearly and was eager to help. The original installation was only 2 days, I think. The more recent upgrade was within 24 hours. I was super happy to get them back quickly.

Given the experiences I've had here, I'm confident he has good personal and technical experience. I'll be bringing other electronics to him for assistance...

This place is awesome! Since I have previously left a review about a very poor place over at Vision electronics which nobody should go to because they are flat out liars and probably con artists, I feel compelled to leave a positive review here for an electronic repair place that knows what he's doing!

After viewing some of the other reviews on here some of these simply seem inaccurate and some if you read them they basically admit fault in their own reviews! Lol. This place is great, they have been helpful a few separate occasions and helped me diagnose my problem with my HTC phone as well and also offered to help me with checking some other stuff out with no sweat off the back.
