Always been a Meijer person. Worked a store before, during, and after a grand opening and the first of a more than a couple stores into this county. Never had any real complaints about the chain, until now.
That complaint being the removing of all the unlimited self-checkouts. At first I thought it was only one of three locations I frequent but I've since learned it is all Meijer's removing them. I can't say I am surprised, I've been behind people in line who were going far too slow to not be doing something crooked. Also, it's real simply done - they just switch UPC codes and a bag of cherries suddenly costs what a bag of grapes does.
If it's solely because of theft, I understand and I guess you can't really fault them despite everyone else feeling like something is being taken away because of nothing they did but if it's something more sinister(which is always possible) then that's what people like me are on look out for.
It's also telling that Meijer is not the only chain yanking those unlimited self check-out. Home delivery can take a flying friggin' leap though, twice if that's why grocers are removing the self checkouts.
No. I changed my mind. It's not understandable... you all(grocers and customers alike) really have pissed me off with this stupid over analyzed, quantified b.s. entrapment attempt on everyone. Is that enough for saying why I really think it is being done? Or is it just to divide peoples minds?? Well, this mind is not going to be divided by it and I do not blindly get taken in by entrapment attempts. And I am going to tell everyone right here how to handle it so their mind doesn't get divided or how to not get entrapped, that is unless they deserve to be caught.
This is it... someone has drawn a battle line... the grocers have made a move that will divide the mind of everyone who must now choose - unlimited items through the cashier or 12 items at the self checkout. Everyone's mind will be divided, the country will divided and weaker... all by simply removing unlimited self-checkouts. No joke, that's what it is going to cause in every single person who used those and that's what it's going to do to the entire country.
And this is no longer relegated to just Meijer, but all grocers and all to whom it applies... I know I'm right, do you?
Shoot the farmers if this doesn't please them, and burn the damn farms... and yes, I am white and blonde haired and blue eyed and a former serviceman. So, you can shove any doubts about who it really is up your arrogant a--. YOU are the one who can burn, and I'll light the torch.
I made it clear earlier that I understand the reasons for such a move if solely to guard against theft and for loss control, and everything said after that can be disregarded if so. However, I have also made it clear on my reasons if it was not done solely to guard against theft and if there has been collusion by grocers on a national level as part of some self-serving, ignorant joke and/or agenda. As little as I care about some of the potential targets for such an act, if done as a colluded form of such... well, it effects me in a bad way and attacking food lines means war.
I am done adding to this here and going to add it to my public blog. Not because I car and think myself an intelligent voice... because IF IT DOES MEAN WAR, I need to be sure people hear it elsewhere as well.
Lastly, I need to be clear that I know some twit is screaming to some law enforcement official and calling this a terrorist threat. I HAVE NO ILL INTENTIONS OR MALICIOUS ACTS PLANNED. It's not my style to plan criminal acts, but this is going to strike a real bad nerve in me for a very long time and when nerves are struck things happen.
But... if so much money was lost to theft, where'd the money for the remodeling...
Read moreAbsolutely horrible customer service from the manager with red hair at the Southgate location. Everytime I have used my WIC their, there is always an issue or I end up paying money I don't need to pay. Well today I went to use the last of my WIC before it expires and reloads tomorrow and the lady charged my WIC for the full amount of jars I get which is 64 but I only had 48. So I went back to explain to the lady and show her the receipts that she charged my WIC card for 63 jars but I only have 48. I took everything back into the store with me to show her. I didn't even go home I counted it all in my car in the parking lot because something seemed off. The manager told me that I am wrong and trying to steal baby food from them and that I used my WIC at another store another time and that's why it says that. I even showed her the receipt that showed how many jars I had before the purchase and it said 64. I had my 2 step children with me and my 10 month old baby and this lady was getting loud with me and being extremely rude. I ended up leaving the store crying because she was so rude and loud with me and my kids wanted to yell at her to stop being so rude to me but I told them not to. This lady has to be right before the customer and im sorry that is wrong. When you work in the customer service industry, the customer is always right even if they are not. I worked in the service industry for 18 years so I know how it works and that is not how you treat a customer. And when I told her we will not be coming back here for WIC purchases anymore, she said great don't come back have a great day. I wish I would have gotten her name to report her to corporate for how rude she was being to me and raising her voice to me telling me I am wrong and I was trying to steal baby food when I clearly had proof that I was not and they actually shorted me baby food and she did not want to hear it and blew up at me. So anyone who is on WIC, I recommend highly that you go elsewhere to do your WIC purchases and I would definitely double check always because this is the 6th time I have...
Read moreNow I'm going to give you an honest review I shop there because I know where everything is and I can usually just go exactly to the aisle and get what I need and not have to be searching around looking for the product I need but price wise I have noticed they have went up a lot I know groceries and nothing ever tends to be in stock even if you go back during the week it's still not in stock I will say that the workers are very rude there when you ask them to go look in the back and see if they have any more of the product you are trying to buy they always come up with some type of excuse or they say it's not my department. On this particular visit though I was disappointed because they only had about for regular lanes open and they were all backed up okay you have about 20 registers why do you only choose to open 4 I can never understand that and the managers see that all the lines are backed up and they never open more Lanes you're charging us enough money for groceries hire more people if that's the problem or don't schedule so many of your employees on the same day off it's not fair that us as paying customers have to wait in line over 20 minutes just to check out. And in this particular Meijer I find that the employees are not very friendly and they seem like they are stressed out and they really don't want to be there you're the only person I can say that is friendly and has been every single time I walked through the door is the greeter that is a little short old man he always seems to put smiles on the customer's face as the inter the store in exit the store props to him for doing such a wonderful job and still...
