Only lived there for 6 months and the lake flooded and we had to be evacuated for 2 days. Summer hit and tons of flying bugs covered our doors and in our house. If you don't like ducks and geese I wouldn't live here they own the lake and naturally cause a mess but I loved watching them. I don't understand only having the a.c. all the way in the dinning area and the bedroom clear on the other side of the apartment and the cold air never reached the bedroom. I enjoyed living here even with those weird quirks. What I really got upset about was I went to the office to tell them we were moving a month in advance and they stated to give them a written letter, a few days later my spouse went in and delivered the letter, and we started cleaning the apartment. But upon our last day they did a walk threw and kind of shocked us by asking why we didn't do the cleaning check list. They never mentioned anything ever about a check list! We repainted walls, bleached walls, bought carpet cleaner and deodorizer, scrubbed the floors, oven, and bathroon. Yet lost a portion of our deposit because we didn't "properly clean the oven", wipe down the top of the refrigerator and behind it, and cleaned out the storage until on the back porch that we never used. Frustrating but better place than most...
Read moreManagement is kinda creepy, always watching you as you come and go from your own home. They're also horribly uncaring for any issues regarding complaints or concerns. The property is littered with partying drunks and weekend warriors. From people drunkenly shouting from their balconies to groups just standing around in the parking lot in the middle of the night, you can trust that regardless of the amount of complaints made, management will refuse to do a single thing about it. Aside from the other horrifically loud tenants, you can also look forward to being woken up some time between 6 to 7 am when the workers decide to come in and shout amongst themselves from across the yards and parking lots. Not sure why they're here so early every single day as they rarely ever actually do any work, and that's not even to speak of the fact that when it comes to handy work they're hopelessly out of their depth. In short, you're charged far too much for a rundown apartment where you are forced to deal with far too many unruly and loud individuals. You'd be better off living off the side of the road if you're looking for some...
Read moreI moved to Lake Aspen in early 2016 and just fell in love with everything about it. The entire staff is awesome..as well as great neighbors not to mention the beautiful landscaping and scenery..all very well maintained. Unfortunately due to health concerns I MUST move out.. but during my time here at Aspen.. if something needed fixed I would call the office..explain what's wrong and within 24 hours or less..depending on the problem..one or two Aspen maintainence guys were taking care of it. It's wonderful to be close to nature and there is plenty of it here. The geese can be rather forward..but if you don't bother them..they won't bother you. It is a very quiet and peaceful place to just be! Can't say enough about the staff..kind and helpful...just sorry to have to leave 😢. Once I gave my notice..I received a sheet that simply said to clean these things before walk thru and if approved then my deposit.. less carpet cleaning fee..would be refunded back!! Guess what?? I'm getting my deposit back. A special THANK YOU to Melissa..she's a star!! It's been great thanks for everything! Take care and may God Bless and...
