Mr. Pizza — Restaurant in Yakima

I'm not even sure where to start with this place. I can't believe it has been like 11 years since this business started. I remember finding the modest, but oh so worth it, little pizza joint on fruitvale. Me loving pizza like I do, of course had to check this place out and boy was I impressed! Let's start out with it being a local business and not just that, but own by one of the nicest couples in town that I've come in contact with at their business. They have this way of making you feel like an important customer, scratch that, friend, when you call in and also when you see them. Throw in some arcade'age while you wait and it's no wonder why this is my absolute top rated pizza place in Yakima since the day I first stepped foot into there. It's a brick oven type of pizza with amazing sauce, fresh ingredients and all the love that really makes these pizzas not even in the same ballpark as other big chain branches. Mr. Pizza is in a league of it's own. The only thing that I so wish they still had, literally one of the saddest things to ever let go of, was the sweet potato pizza. Oh......My.......Gosh! The first time I read that I was like ehh I don't know about that, fast forward 1,850 sweet potato pizzas later, maybe not that exact number, but you get the point, and I would give up any other kind of pizza forever just to eat that one for the rest of my life. It seriously was that good. This use to be the Best pizza for the price in Yakima. The new owner is a jerk. Goofed up my order 3 different times by keeping it in the oven too long. The 3rd time he apologized and had the audacity to tell me it was the oven cooked unevenly. I politely told him he just needed to turn the pizza from time to time and pop the air bubbles. He didn’t seem all that offended. But then as loyal customers do. I kept coming in but he refused to serve me. He went as far as to block my number. I went in today to order and ask about their phone being off the hook and the guy behind the counter refused to help me. When I questioned the owner he loudly told me if I thought he Burned the pizza and I wasn’t happy with the service then I should eat somewhere else. I tried to order 3 pizzas but he refused. I’d like to still patron this facility but if he doesn’t want my family of 12 to eat here. Then maybe the next owner will. Good luck...

Tonight was the first time I have tried Mr. Pizza’s pizza. I am nostalgically and completely pleased! Not only was this pizza aesthetically pleasing, but the aroma when the box opened and it overwhelms the olfactory with memories of childhood and family occasions. My significant other surprised me with this best little secret in a Yakima as I was unaware this wonderful little pizza place even existed after living in the Yakima Valley for 45 years! THANK YOU FOR a much better pizza and dinning experience.Qualiity, convenience, very very affordable, and one satisfied family for last meal of the day. The best parts: at around $9.00 a large pie already cooked (a cost much lower than the competitors (various choices obviously make a difference) and super fast friendly service as well as order accuracy!! 5 stars for this pizza place review no doubt!
