I had my ceremony and reception done at Stambaugh Auditorium and had an amazing experience. I primarily worked with the event coordinator, Shannon Burns, who is fantastic! Shannon helped me organize the wedding every step of the way. She was very professional, patient, and accommodating. She took every request I made into consideration and provided me with her own ideas and expertise as well. Both the ceremony and reception were done upstairs in Christman Hall. The hall was beautiful and Stambaugh itself looked amazing with all of the holiday decor/decorations throughout the building. Everyone we worked with were so professional and helpful. The venue itself was actually a decent price, however, be mindful that you do have to book one of their approved separate caterers which adds more to the cost, especially if you are trying to stick to a budget. All in all, the experience was great and I highly recommend booking Stambaugh Auditorium for a special event!

Stambaugh is one of the gems of Youngstown. The architecture is gorgeous, prices are very reasonable, and the acoustics are inspirational. Seats are a little snug. Parking can be a difficult, the fenced in lot attached to the Auditorium is limited. There is also a fenced in overflow lot across the street behind the main lot, and quite a few people park in the grass at the CVS on 5th Ave. Periodically people will charge for parking at their houses, though they are on a hill. If you want fenced in parking, give yourself extra time.

Total incompetence by production staff at the Jay Leno show. The sound system for balcony level was completely off. At least 30 people got up and left in the middle of the show. None of the parking lot lights are on in the big lot across the street. The target demographic is was ages 50+. These people are hard of hearing and sight. This isn’t a recital it’s show time. That was the biggest flop I’ve ever been to! High school musicals have 5x better production. You should be embarrassed and you deserve every single complaint!

We held our wedding ceremony at Christman Hall in Stambaugh Auditorium. From the first time we visited, we knew this was the place for our wedding ceremony. Our contact person changed a few times, but it all worked out in the end and no details were lost. Dani was the final person we worked with and she was wonderful. During the rehearsal and the ceremony, we had the help of both Dani and Julia. They were quick to offer suggestions and guidance and relieved so much of the stress. Dani served as the total event coordinator throughout the day of the wedding - she even hid the groom so he wouldn't see me before the ceremony! Stambaugh also allowed the groom and his groomsmen to come in a little early to get ready. The boys had their own private “lounge” and so did I and the bridesmaids. Since there were no other events going on that day, after the wedding we had access to the entire venue for photos (our wedding was on a Sunday, so this may not be the case on a Friday or Saturday). It is naturally a very beautiful venue and provides for some amazing photo opportunities. I highly...

This venue is a fine old building from Youngstown's heyday! The numerous steps of the front entrance are in need of repair or replacement for asthetic purposes. The huge, multistoried front pillars are impressive. Inside, a lovely staircase leads to the upper level where the seats for the main stage auditorium are. Further steps lead up to the balcony which U-shapes around both sides and back. There is also an elevator. The seating is cramped for most modern-sized people today, reminding me of airline seating. The seats themselves had comfortable cushioning, and weren't lumpy nor worn out. The accousics are adequate in that most musical numbers were pleasant to listen to. Some spoken words were hard to understand. Parking is free with two large lots....
