3-4 years ago (around 2021), this place was amazing! Food was always good, and service was good, as well. However, this location was unfortunately sold. I went here a few months back, and service was awful. It took forever, and they were rude. There is a lady, assuming she is a manager, who has tons of animals. She acts incredibly unprofessional in front of customers, and she encourages her staff to do the same. She was bashing other Hot Head locations, different restaurant chains, and lying (saying they cater for YSU “all of the time,” which is not true at all). As for pricing, they now have up charges for everything… even sauce!!! I’m not talking queso, I’m meaning salsa, sour cream, and their regular sauces such as sweet habanero. The food recipes have changed, too. There is now lime in the rice, which was quite overpowering. While this experience was not good whatsoever, I decided to give it another try this past week. Same situation! The same female manager was there, so service was not good. The two other employees did not seem to know what they were doing. The person I went with asked for brown rice, and they gave her white rice (yes, they did have brown rice). After trying this place out twice and seeing how much it has gone down hill after being sold, I certainly will not go back, and I recommend everyone look for a different...
Read moreSo i'm a student at YSU and me and a few classmates had just finished our finals so we wanted to go to Bull and Bear to get a bite to eat. We parked behind Hot Heads and didn't see a sign that said no parking (the sign is to the left of all cars and shouldn't be expected to be seen). We go into Bull and Bear and after about an hour we leave. We come out and have barnacles on our cars (basically is like towing our cars). Come to find out the management at this specific hot heads called YSU parking to complain of 2 cars being parked there and them not being in hot head. The fine was 150$ for each of our cars. First off, hot heads needs no parking because nobody goes there in the first place and second off this company must take pride in taking money out of broke college kids pockets. I strongly suggest not spending money there because they don't care about the campus they are on or the students that are on...
Read moremy experience here was not good. I ordered a double wrapped burrito, one shell was placed on foil where the other was placed on a dirty dish, that looked as though it had not been washed all day. Next I Was not allowed to put extra rice on my burrito when I asked why the employee said "because management said so". After eating at both the boardman and Newcastle locations all the portion sizes at the youngstown campus location are a third of what they are at the others. It's sad to see that this location can not withhold the standards that all other locations that I have visited seem to be doing just fine. This terrible experience isn't the first time and I know it will not be the last at this location. Save your time and money and go...
