It's a park. It has paths and not nearly enough parking without parking on the grass. There are two sides: a park side and a pond side. The pond side had geese and a lack of ducks.
The pond side was not explored.
The park side has pavilions, trees, paved paths, open spaces, and not many rocks.
I never found any bathrooms.
Pavilions are accessible if you are able to go into the grass.
If there is water, grills, or accessible parking, those were also not found.
The water side had Covid testing happening by drive-up.
I am sure there is much more to the park.
If you want get easier directions to the park, he directions to either the neighboring Cancer center or the School. Your GPS will think you are anywhere except the park.
Places to stay nearby is price vs miles. I could drop the price by going farther, even 5 miles made a difference.
I also have not experienced any public transportation to or from the park and do not know of and how it is possible.
Once in the park proper, it does seem like you are not within a city, so bring a chair and stay hydrated.
Nearby gas stations are nearby in every Cardinal direction. Almost all of them have public restrooms that are accessible. Some have unique gifts or foods. And most cashiers...
Read moreWell maintained park. You can walk along the different trails with family and dogs. There are a couple of playgrounds, one for bigger kids and another for the smaller ones. My young son enjoyed the playground. There is a lake with lots of geese so be careful of the geese poop lurking in the grass. There is an outdoor pool. I enjoyed the large trees along the trail, it's pretty shady. No idea what the conditions of the restrooms are but they do have some...
Read moreThe park in itself was nice. Lots of trees and bathrooms were available for use and to be honest they were pretty clean when we went. There's a bridge crossing on the back half of the park was really pretty and serene. The actual playground equipment on the other hand was sub par and out dated, but other than that it was nice. There also seems to be a concession stand there, but it was closed, I don't know if permanently but...
