This is a must visit place in Tashkent for a number of reasons. You can ask a cooking master class and learn how to make plov. And eat your own creation. We had a plov prearranged for our group of about 30 people. It was amazing, served with two salads, assortment of local bread and tea with local sweets. You can have Abru Bahor master class - ancient art of drawing on water. You can create your own piece which will be put into frame and take it home for memory. You can also take paint your "piala" - clay bowl, or take a master class on clay making.

You can visit great shop with souvenirs, one of a kind fashion items, made from silk and cotton. Paintings and many other things.

The place is very authentic, clay walls, nice courtyard, and master classes on the roofs of the tiny clay buildings.

It was a best place...

The hidden gem of Uzbek culture!

Human House in Tashkent is an absolute treasure trove for anyone interested in Uzbekistan’s rich cultural heritage. Their stunning collection of vintage and designer traditional clothing, carpets, fabrics, ceramics, and other works of art is truly breathtaking. Every piece tells a story, and the knowledgeable, hospitable staff is always ready to share fascinating insights about the craftsmanship and history behind them.

The atmosphere here is incredibly peaceful—it’s the kind of place you can lose yourself in for hours, soaking in the beauty and cultural depth. On top of that, their masterclasses and cultural events make a meaningful contribution to preserving and sharing Uzbekistan’s artistic traditions. If you’re in Tashkent, this is a...

Human house store/ cultural center is incredible. They have handcrafts from all over Uzbekistan and they can tell you the story of their people and their colours. They also have a clothes section that is both contemporary and classic uzbek.

Their garden is gorgeous and for donation you can have tea in it. The building is made in a traditional uzbek countryside style.

Finally they also have cultural activities. I was lucky to participate in a traditional dances master class.

A true gem...

A very interesting and authentic place. There are so many handmade items that it’s hard to take it all in. Clothes, souvenirs, paintings — for every taste and budget. Workshops are also held here. If I visit Tashkent again, I’ll definitely come back. The inner courtyard is simply magical — you step inside and feel like you’ve entered another world in a time machine. Highly recommended!
