Hotel Shosh Boutique — Hotel in Tashkent

Hotel was a little tricky to find. Once we found it, the entrance was not clearly marked. The entrance had some Sky Bar/karaoke sign. There is a bar with karaoke on the main level which seems to be open all night. Music played all night and my parents' room seemed to be loud. We left at 3am to go to the airport and I heard the music play. Once in our room, the towels and sheets had some stains, electric outlets popping out of the wall with wires exposed. We had little kids with us, so this was a concern. The walls had marks from bugs being smashed (bloody mosquitoes). The toilet seat was cracked, the shower curtain smelled of mildew, the shampoo/conditioners were very watery/runny. There were cups in the room but no tea bags or tea kettle. My parents' room had no working phone. The hotel website advertises hotel shuttle/transfer for extra charge. We had asked ahead of time to get us a shuttle/taxi at 3am. The charge was going to be $10 per taxi (we needed 2 cars d/t 6 people and 2 large suitcases). Thankfully my mother told me that it is way too expensive compared to what locals pay for a taxi service. We ended up cancelling their taxi service, and got our own taxi cab ordered that charged us about $2 to drive us 9 min to the airport at 3am. This is by far the worst hotel experience I had during my last 4 weeks in Uzbekistan. When I arrived and entered my room, there was a plumber fixing the toilet. He stayed for one hour and then told me not to use the bathroom for at least two more hours. And that was 9 p. m. When he left he didn't clean up the bathroom at all. The manager told me, that the next morning the cleaning lady would come. (btw: that didn't happen!)

Furthermore there was no TP but the bin in the bathroom was full to the brim with used TP from other guests, because they didn't clean the bathroom at all! The window was broken too and cannot be closed. The manager's attitude however was the worst. He behaved like some annoyed kid and didn't care the least to help or find any solution. Wouldn't recommend this...

Hello I'm Zarifah from Bangladesh. The hotel is good. Everything is near the city. I am very impressed by the behavior of the two staff named Ibrahim and Shahrukh they are very nice and friendly. I really appreciate them. I am giving 4 stars only for them they are so helpful. The location is also very good. But there is only one problem the air conditioner doesn't work properly but they told us that they will fix it. So I recommend everyone this hotel.
