I only visited the Wax Planet, Ooty, in the evening instead of the whole amusement park Thunder World which might be more cost effective I think. The carpark was located less than 100m away. I bought my Wax Planet entry ticket at the Main Kiosks which wasn’t crowded and put on my wrist tag before entering the designated area.
This wasn’t a big museum as compared with Madame Tussauds in Bangkok, Delhi, Hong Kong and Singapore but it did house many life-sized wax figurines which were excellently and distinctly made. Everything smelled new. Figurines were appealing and there were good lightings and props to go with.
Highly appreciated the greetings of the figurine of Mother Theresa here. It was so realistic. Personally, others were generally good like the figurines of Mahatma Ghandi, Obama, Donald Trump, Modi and Putin and actors Bruce Willis and Hugh Jackman. This museum was small scale unlike the one in Delhi which the wax figurines were widely spaced out. So I spent about a good 25-minutes here. There was a horse riding service along the road outside for those who were keen to go for it. Family with kids generally would go for the entire coverage of Thunder World and Wax Planet.

Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting the Wax Planet in Ooty, and I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for the remarkable craftsmanship on display. The wax statues are incredibly lifelike, and it is truly impressive to see the attention to detail that has gone into creating each figure.
During my visit, I noticed that the exhibit includes the date of birth for each figure, and in the case of deceased individuals, their dates of passing are also mentioned. While I commend the effort to provide such information, I did come across a discrepancy that I believe warrants attention. Specifically, the date of birth listed for Amitabh Bachchan is October 16, which I believe is incorrect. His actual date of birth is October 11.
I understand that maintaining accurate information is crucial for the integrity of the exhibit, and I wanted to bring this to your attention in case it has not already been noted. Thank you for your dedication to creating such an engaging experience for visitors. I look forward to seeing any updates or corrections that may be made in the future.

Read moreOne of the finest wax museum I have seen. All the models are very realistic.
Eye is the major thing which grabs the attention and skin detailing is too good. Really should be appreciated for the work it is done.
It is inside the Ice thunder campus and it has lot of fun things to do inside and Wax Planet is the major attraction.
All are placed very well and photos can be clicked along with those wax models. Kids really do enjoy and offcourse adults too looking at that great work.
We understood these were done in China, then realised they are too smart in doing any brands replica. Same they have done for our Indian idols too.
Staffs are good and helpful and they will be monitoring the area most of the time. A worth visit and nice time to...
