xpark aquarium 🐟🐠🐡 | had a little solo day for me w the kids bc I just love aquariums so so so much and not at all bc someone 👀 who had a dads night out at an actual club may or may not have tested 🦠➕ and now needs to isolate from us (days before our flight) 🙃🙃🙃 but it’s fine, everything’s fine. OK but truly I loved this little aquarium bc if you can’t tell i could get lost in a sea of jellyfish #aliansattheaquarium and would absolutely visit again. the second floor had an immersive area where kids (and kids over 30 🙋♀️) could color in sea animals on ipad (suspended like octopi) and see those animals pop up on a floor to ceiling wall screen, after which, you needed to tap trash on the big screen to clean the ocean for your animals 🤪 — gotta hand it to Taiwan for always educating 🌊! #xpark #chuangstakeaplanetpe #marriedlife #husbandwifehumor #sentimental #corememories Fun things to do with kids in Taiwan, Taiwan day trips, kid friendly Taiwan, aquarium in Taiwan, immersive aquarium for kids, taipei Taiwan kid activities, traveling with kids to Taiwan, what to do with toddlers in Taiwan, xpark aquarium #dayinthelife #vlog #minivlog #taipeitravel #taiwantravel

By reading the reviews on gmap, it makes me worry that It will be queued, full, and not as expected. Expectations were lowered. But, it was not as bad as written in the review. I got a slot ticket at 18. Entering at 19, without queuing at all. Just give the ticket barcode and enter straight away. We can carry the stroller inside and quite pass. Not as busy as imagined. My family and I can still see all parts of the aquarium. Quite satisfied with spending 1.5 hours inside. The time when inside is not limited. The limited time is only when entering according to the time in the ticket. In the outside, there is a garden filled with fish and lights that help illuminate. There is a goat too, however it is sleeping at night. Toilets are on every floor. There is a vending machine inside. There is Xcafe in the exit. Overall, my children and I were satisfied visiting this xpark. There is a possibility of the second visit. Facilities: toilets, cafe, nursing place, elevator, escalator, vending machine, gift shop, sand garden. Zone: Jellyfish zone, tropical zone, deep sea zone, polar zone, interactive zone and several other zones Animals: penguins, jellyfish, deep sea fish, crabs, freshwater fish, whale sharks, iguanas, lizards, geckos, goats, sea lions, coral reefs, sea urchins, snakes, etc. Transportation: the location is close to the A18 Taoyuan HSR. 8 minute walk. Cross the Gloria Store, and enter the mall. The entrance is on the 2nd floor. From Taipei, it is faster to use the HSR (16 minutes) with the same cost rather than if you take the commuter MRT (purple-blue line) to Linkou (1 hour 10 minutes). * There is no fixed schedule for the show because it depends on the mood of the animal. * For Muslims, there is a Chicken master at Taoyuan HSR. * There is a park with a playground near the xpark building. Its name is Qingbugong2 park. *The explanation of the exhibition is in Chinese. English is just for the name.

We went with a 4 year old toddler, a newborn, and my elderly parents on a weekday at noon. I went in with very low expectations because many users commented how small it was. However, because it was not crowded at all, it was the perfect size for our toddler and my parents. I appreciated the immersive design that is easy for kids and adults to view the exhibits. The theme music composed by Joe Hisaishi (famous for his music compositions in Studio Ghibili animations) set the right mood to soak in the beauty and magic of marine life. I felt the aquarium was well curated for its size, and especially enjoyed the mirrored jellyfish room. Another playful design is that there is a transparent H-shaped tube in the dining area where the occasional penguin swims through. We took our time to walk and sit throughout the experience, and finished in about 2.5-3 hours, including a solid 30+ minutes of our toddler drawing on a digital tablet, and another 30+ minutes dining. For us, it was the perfect amount of walking and viewing given everyone’s limited attention span and/or energy level. I’d recommend it only if you can come during non-peak hours, especially if you want to hear the theme music (which I feel is unique to this aquarium). You can also make a day out of it by visiting the Gloria Outlet mall, which is literally a carbon copy of large outdoor American outlet malls. They have a good selection of food options as well. Btw. The walk from the high speed rail station to X Park is under 10 minutes. Most of it is covered in case is rains.

As foreigners, this was a definite tourist destination with kids to hit up. It is a well laid out aquarium with many special exhibits and themes, when we went it was Donald Duck’s 90th birthday and many photo ops were set up. To avoid waiting in a line there, I would get tickets in advance on KKday (if you are English speaking and paying by credit card) as official site was hard to use and issues with credit card purchases. Once there, there was no wait to enter for us with prepaid tickets (QR code) to scan in, especially on a busy weekend - if you can avoid weekends to miss the crowds would recommend it. As for the exhibits it was 3 floors that all had great exhibits - highlights for us, were the garden eel tank, the large aquariums with many species, an interactive kids floor where they design their own animal and pops up on a large screen, the jelly fish exhibit, the penguin exhibit and penguin cafe (where penguins swim through the tunnel). We did sit through the outdoor show which was good but very short (a seal show and a hawk), and all in Chinese so hard for non-Chinese speakers. Pros - large, all day tourist attraction and many options for also eating there, restaurants and shopping (gift shop and Daiso) were a bonus! Also if here during the summer time, it’s an all indoor ACed thing to do to avoid the heat. Cons - can get quite crowded (as expected) on weekends Overall, highly recommended for kids and adults alike, it was reasonable priced for an all day adventure with lots to see and do all in one building.

Aquarium located in Taoyuan (~10 minute walk from the train & mrt station. Variety of aquatic animals, both small and big. Some of the animals are placed in such small tanks such as the penguins and seals, which is why I rate this 3⭐️.. I strongly push for the management team to dedicate funding towards providing better habitats for these larger animals! (Such as Larger tanks, plants, and less crowded spaces) Otherwise, the aquarium is a nice air conditioned space to go to during the hot summer. But it can get fairly crowded. also, the location is quite nice with a huge outlet and many department stores nearby that has many food options, shops, and children activities. The jelly fish section is really nice and pretty though. A few noteworthy details: - a dedicated spot for the live show is towards the end, near the exit. There are only a few shows each day at dedicated times, so search the times up beforehand so you can reach the spot on time. - There are multiple sections indoor, and there is also an outdoor section that is easily missed (located on the bottom floor at the end of the route. Walk through the cafe across from the final gift shop to find the outdoor animal tanks) - There is also a dedicated spot around the middle of the route in the aquarium where children can play interactive games. It’s fairly popular for children and families to come to this aquarium, especially during the holidays or weekends because it’s very children friendly.

Xpark in Taoyuan is a captivating aquarium and marine park, offering visitors an immersive experience with marine life. One of the standout features of the park is its impressive aquatic exhibits, including the stunning Big Stingray tank. This exhibit allows you to observe these graceful creatures up close as they glide effortlessly through the water, showcasing their elegant movements. The park's jellyfish display is equally mesmerizing, with soft, glowing lights highlighting the otherworldly beauty of these translucent organisms. The jellyfish appear to float in slow motion, creating a calming and hypnotic atmosphere. Additionally, the fish exhibits at Xpark are diverse, showcasing a variety of species from around the world. From vibrant tropical fish to mysterious deep-sea creatures, the park offers a rich and colorful underwater world. The attention to detail in the exhibits ensures that visitors feel like they’re exploring the ocean itself, with naturalistic settings that highlight the beauty of marine life. The design of the park is also noteworthy, with modern architecture that enhances the viewing experience. The use of technology, including interactive displays and informative signage, makes learning about marine ecosystems both fun and educational. Whether you’re a marine life enthusiast or just looking for a relaxing day out, Xpark is a must-visit destination in Taiwan. Plus it's close location to the Taoyuan HSR station.
