Last week, I stayed in this hotel with two colleagues in a triple room from November 18th to November 23rd. We work for an organization and for 3 years they have been booking us in the same hotel or in the EFE which is opposite and is owned by the same people. On November 19th we went to work and when we came back to the room there isn't a blouse that I had worn just once and I had placed it on the bench where the suitcase rests before we left. The reason I put it there was because it smelled like smoke and in that moment I showed at my roomates and they smelled the same odour on the blouse too. I was desperate when I didn't see the blouse, I went down to reception crying to tell them and the shirt never appeared again... Not even in the laundry room with the towels or anywhere else. By the way: in any hotel do they take the towels away if they are not lying on the floor or in the bathtub. We spent very little time in the hotel during the whole week, because we left very early and returned very late from working at an event with the participation of 21 provinces. The day after the robbery: wednesday 20/11 I asked again if it had appeared, not only did they tell me no but they also informed me that they came to check my and my roomates suitcases in search of the blouse, claiming that my colleagues could have stolen it. This is impossible, since we were leaving and returning at the same time and they allowed me to check their luggage. The worst of all was not only the robbery but the aggravating factor that, being in a situation of total insecurity and defenselessness, we had left the sign saying DO NOT enter to clean and they came in to search us anyway. What kind of 4-star hotel is this? At the same time, my colleagues from other provinces who were also staying there felt very insecure and left their suitcases locked. The reality is that I had never experienced anything like this in my life; and I travel a lot for work to different provinces and have stayed in different types of lower-category hotels, and nothing like this had ever happened to me. I have also stayed in countless hostels in the country and the world, and it never happened to me. It was a disgrace how they treated me (except for the receptionist who is there at night, I didn't know his name, but he was very kind and empathetic). And on top of that, they came back in the last night to "fix the air conditioning," they even wanted to change our hotel for that reason. Last Saturday (23/11) I was able to speak with the head of reception and he told me that he would send me an email with the news on Monday. This did not happen, I sent an email reporting everything, they did not respond. The blouse cost me almost 50 dollars and the money is the least important, but the value it had for me, I was only able to wear it for the first time and it was stolen... Not only that but the treatment that my colleagues received as guests having suffered a theft by them and not even having a gesture, a compensation for what happened, nothing. I will never return to this hotel, the 4 stars are too big for it, it is a very poor...
Read moreDO NOT GO HERE. THIS HOTEL UNDER CONSTRUCTION. MISLEADING AND FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. My family and I (husband, baby, dad and mom) spent a couple of days visiting Buenos Aires. We chose this hotel because of the location and the reviews on here. I would say location is the only good thing they have but there is NO PARKING in the facility. We payed $42 a night for 4 nights. The only reason we stayed the rest of the nights was because the money we payed was non refundable. We didn't expect a perfect hotel but $42 a night for 3 rooms for 4 nights is a lot of money when the situation is worse than basic. The facts: DUSTY HAZE THAT YOU COULD SEE IN THE HALLWAYS.. The construction workers worked until past 7pm every night. There was dusty haze in in the hallway and smell of diesel fuel from the construction generator. The KEYS CARDS never worked. Over the course of those 4 days, we spent several hours waiting for our doors to be opened by the staff. It was even more of a pain when you have 9 months old baby. BREAKFAST. No variety. Old pastries... SERVICE. Every time I would request something like towels, change of sheets the ladies would always say "my shift is over, wait for the next shift, they will help you". FRONT DESK. My father asked for the manager. We never heard from him. The next day, a bald guy with glasses was in the front desk to do our check out. I told him the whole situation and he said: " we are aware of that". NO APOLOGIES WERE GIVEN TO US. Instead he was mocking me with some other guy from staff. I guess he thought I didn't understand Spanish well. VERY unprofessional. Just spend a few more dollars and go to a decent hotel.
Stayed April 2016,...
Read moreFront desk was not welcoming, tried to convince me that my reservation for two rooms was one room but 2 adults. Did not apologize when he realized he was wrong, just rushed us through the process. “Up” button for elevator does not work on the lobby floor. One of our rooms did not have a stopper for the tub, toilet would not flush but would “try” to all night. Second room was fine. No iron, no instructions on the phone to know who or how to call anyone. The gym is in the basement, not bad but weird location, you’ll understand when you go down the stairs. The elevator from there doesn’t seem to work either (tried and waited twice). No signage for the hours of the gym, lights turn off automatically and you can’t see where to turn them back on. The same front desk person does not try to help, says “no” when he doesn’t understand your question. He cannot even open a wine bottle properly. I had asked him for a wine opener from my room, and he responded he didn’t have one. I went to the lobby and showed him the bottle, he took it and went to open it. I should have taken a picture. He had cork broken in to the wine, didn’t bother to unwrap the top of the bottle before he started trying to unscrew it. This hotel does not seem to be for tourists. The only redeeming quality is that it’s a great location close to almost all the great attractions in...
