Babalu — Restaurant in Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

Stumbled upon Babalu for a coffee break and left already planning my next visit. The espresso was strong and delicious, and the staff and owner were incredibly kind and helpful—genuinely welcoming, which made the experience stand out.

I wasn’t expecting to find fresh raw oysters on the menu, but I’m so glad I tried them. Fresh, clean, and beautifully served—an unexpected treat in a café setting. I didn’t try anything else this time, but based on the quality and vibe, I’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

They also offered fantastic dinner recommendations, which was a great bonus as a visitor.

The atmosphere is cool, modern, and relaxed, with cozy seating and tasteful design.

Celebramos el cumpleaños de mi esposo en este café.

Reservamos una mesa sin problemas por el teléfono que figura en el linktree junto con el menú.

Nos tocó una mesa acogedora en la planta baja, estuvimos cómodos y nadie nos molestó. El personal — muy buena onda, nos regalaron una torta por el cumpleaños. Para nosotros no fue muy rica, pero eso es cuestión de gustos.

Pedimos draniki, cócteles con alcohol y postres. Los platos principales estaban frescos y sabrosos.

Sin embargo, más de la mitad de los postres del menú no estaban disponibles. Después de conversar un rato nos explicaron que los problemas con los proveedores ya llevan más de un mes. Tal vez sería mejor actualizar el menú o dejar solo la versión digital, así se evitan confusiones.

Al inicio pasó una situación extraña con la comunicación con la gerencia: cuando comentamos que era el cumpleaños y preguntamos si había algún beneficio especial, el mozo llamó al dueño. Él, sin levantarse de la mesa y con los auriculares puestos, dijo que podía ofrecer un pedazo de torta y siguió con lo suyo.

Esperamos que estas observaciones se tomen de manera constructiva y sirvan para mejorar la calidad del servicio y la atención al cliente.

Праздновали в этом кафе день рождения мужа. Столик удалось забронировать без проблем по телефону, указанному в linktree вместе с меню.

Мы заняли уютный столик на первом этаже, обстановка была комфортной, никто не мешал. Персонал — приятные ребята, в честь дня рождения подарили торт. Для нас он оказался не очень вкусным, но это скорее вопрос вкусовых предпочтений.

Заказывали драники, алкогольные коктейли и десерты. Основные блюда были свежими и вкусными.

Однако из десертного меню больше половины позиций не оказалось в наличии. После разговора с официантами выяснилось, что перебои с поставками длятся уже больше месяца. Возможно, стоит перепечатать меню или оставить только электронную версию, чтобы не возникало лишних вопросов.

В начале визита произошёл странный момент в коммуникации с руководством: когда мы уточнили, есть ли какие-то бонусы в день рождения, официант пригласил владельца. Тот, не вставая с места и не убирая наушники, сказал, что может предложить кусок торта, после чего вернулся к своим делам.

Надеюсь, эти замечания будут восприняты конструктивно и помогут улучшить качество сервиса и взаимодействия...

Absolutely love this place! One of the best spots for breakfast in the city. The menu has a unique twist with some amazing dishes from Russian cuisine. The syrniki (Russian cottage cheese pancakes) are simply perfect soft inside, crispy outside, and served with delicious homemade jams. The draniki (potato pancakes) are golden, crispy, and super comforting just like homemade. And if you’re in the mood for something lighter, their avocado toast with smoked salmon is absolutely top-notch: fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Highly recommend this place whether you’re looking for a cozy breakfast or just something different...
