TPYN Recoleta — Hotel in Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

The apartment itself, was not that bad, the guy who was working in the building was really friendly and helpful, but the reason why I have to make a bad review is because this place literally ripped me off! I booked this place because of the information I have the chance to pay cash in local curreny (ARS) but when I arrived there, I was told, that I have to pay in USD because I am not a resident of Argentina. I was really mad, because if I would have paid in the local currency it would be just less than half the price because of the blue dollar rate, but I had to pay for one week almost 400 USD and this place is absolutely not worth this price. It is really rude in my opinion to force you (and they literally forced me to pay with my credit card in USD) to pay the doulbe price just because you are a foreigner (I am not even a short term tourist, I am in Argentina for a longterm stay, just had to spent one week somewhere until I could move in my new apartment after I left the previous one). For me it is a rip off, especially when in my booking confirmation is written I can pay cash in the local currency. Also it is really rude to charge more than a double price for tourists, why this expectations just because you are a foreigner you automatically have a lot of money to pay really...

The room is very basic but spacious – and that’s the only positive thing I can say about this place.

Reception hours are extremely limited, and outside of those hours, there is absolutely no way to reach them. At 8 PM, part of the ceiling (!!) fell into the bathroom. It was disgusting and filthy. There was no response until 10 AM the next day, so we had to clean it ourselves just to use the bathroom. We got a stammered apology.

On top of that, we asked to extend our stay by just two hours to get ready before our flight, and they wanted to charge us for additional half a day. We decided to leave our luggage with them, but they didn’t even allow us to use the bathroom before we left.

Very disappointing. Definitely NOT...

Mala experiencia. Llegamos para un evento en CABA esperando encontrar secador de pelo y plancha como se ofrecía, pero no había. Nos los trajeron al día siguiente después de hacer la solicitud, pero ya la primera noche tuvimos que salir al evento con el pelo mojado (6 grados) y desplanchados. Nada más llegar hay un cartel sobre la mesada que dice que guardes tus objetos de valor en la caja de seguridad...que no se puede usar porque está cerrada y no tiene llave! Reclamamos y al día siguiente nos dieron la llave diciendo que no la ponen porque los clientes la pierden. Lo peor fue estar 4 días sin calefacción, la única respuesta era "saque las pilas del control remoto, espere y vuelva a colocarlas a ver si así funciona", nunca funcionó y nunca apareció nadie a solucionarlo, sólo una chica que decía que ella no sabía de eso y que ya se lo iba a decir a su compañero (?) Las almohadas son pésimas, pésimas de verdad. Temas menores: poca ropa de cama abrigada, un rollo de papel higiénico para 4 días 3 personas, ni un trapito amarillo ni un repasador ni una servilleta en la cocina (esto último no se ofrecía, pero estaría bueno que lo consideren). La puerta de la entrada se queda abierta por mucho que uno se esmere en cerrarla, no sé si estaba rota o si siempre es así. En fin, MALA EXPERIENCIA ,...
