When the server first approached our table, she immediately told us that payment is only cash. Before coming to this place, we already knew that they only accepted cash so we came prepared. I think this is really ridiculous. It’s a major turn off for a nicely decorated restaurant not to offer any other mode of payment. Let’s talk about the food, nothing really spectacular. We ordered bife de lomo which was tender (thankfully!). The brochette mixto (lomo and pollo) were just ok. The choripan was just ok too. As for the service, the food took some time to arrive. When we asked our server for the bill, she outrightly told us that tip is not included, her way of saying not to forget to give her a tip. In my opinion, this is a place to consider if you want a decent parilla food that is not...

We went to La Cholita to enjoy a typical Argentinean Parrilla. The atmosphere in the restaurant is nice, however it is somewhat dark as the only light comes from candles on the tables. The waiter could recommend us great dishes and explain the differences in between these (in Spanish, I don't know whether they do speak English). The food was served quickly and nicely arranged on wooden boards, the amount of food was huge, almost too much for each of us. The cocktails looked really nice and were really delicious. We were offered to have the rest of our food packed. Please consider that even if you pay by card, tips are always given in cash. We lived this restaurant and will definitely go...

went there yesterday with a friend. what a disappointing and underwhelming experience! we've heard so much about the place and were really excited to finally taste one of the most amazing meat in buenos aires. we expected it to be at least as good as its "sister" la clotilde. but that was not the case. the meat (we ordered 2 ribeyes) was rubbery and very hard to chew, that's not what medium rare means - no juices, no nothing. our waitress looked annoyed all the time. when she brought the plates, she threw them on the tables as if we were some kind of dogs. what a shame. we're...

We got a tip for this restaurant and we went here with a group of 10. Because we were early we had to wait for a short time, but the lady at the entrance was very friendly and we made some jokes so time went by quickly. When we were seated the staff was also very friendly and helpful by giving tips what to eat and for the wine. The food was good and so was the wine. We had a very nice dinner here for a reasonable price.

3.5 stars. House wine barely drinkable. Good portions, steaks cooked to the right temperature and everything was hot (been here before and something was always cold; the fries or the purée—but everything was good). Croutons on Caesar salad were fried so they were greasy. An average to good place for a steak in a country that has amazing steaks everywhere. Crayons for you to draw while you wait.
