Andiamo is the best pizza in Baires (and I only got to know when a week ago). I love pizza and being an international person I have a very specific taste to it. Tasting Italian restaurants around the world is a hobby of mine. The 2 dishes that, for me, really point out whether the Italian food is actually good in a restaurant are a traditional spaghetti carbonara and and traditional pizza margherita. Since I moved to BsAs (about 3 months ago), I've been quite disappointed with the pizzas. They reminded of Brazilian pizza but worse (sorry porteños). Heavy, bready dough, and mediocre ingredients. But then I found this little gem of a pizzeria. And it was love at first bite. The dough is soft and light and with good thickness - not super thick like the usual - and always cooked to the perfect point. The ingredients are great, and the amount of stuff that they use is just perfect. It's not overwhelming, but at the same time it's quite generous. The quality of the ingredients is also very good. I tried almost every flavour already. Pepperoni, Napo pesto, Mortadela, 4 Formaggi, Margherita, Pera y roque. They are all DELICIOUS! Oh, and as a cherry on the top: they were the fastest delivery I have so far experienced. Faster even than fast-food! No idea how they do it. A true pizza napolitana that has to be tasted! Much...
Read moreIt’s got a great crust, though too much of it – it’s really thick and puffy, and the crust to cheese and toppings ratio is just off for me. It’s really big for an individual sized pie – more like what most places make as a six-piece small/medium, just cut into four slices. And, bizarrely, tomato sauce is delivered on the side, “for dipping the crust into, the way Italians do it” I was informed. Umm, no, they don’t. And the sauce tastes like plain tomato puree from a supermarket carton – unseasoned. Now, maybe I should have tried a more classic pizza, but if that’s the sauce they use, I can’t imagine that I’m going to be impressed. (I've been twice, and the same experience both times, with different...
Read moreFirst, the bad. Burrata took nearly 30 minutes to be served (no "cooking" involved and should have been able to be assembled in less than a few minutes). Pear and blue cheese salad was served without blue cheese. Nearly an hour after we ordered, the pizza was delivered (only three customers in the restaurant at this time). The pizza was incredible; the best I've had in BA. More "Italian" in style compared to Argentine pizza which has a totally different crust and cheese that looks and tastes like glue. I cannot imagine how long it would take if the restaurant were busy. Management needs to.get the kitchen to be more efficient because if they were busy the kitchen would collapse. Still, an...
