Update: I saw the owner’s reply and it seems they are taking this seriously and offer free meals. I accept the apology and Thanks for the offering but our stay in Bruno’s Aires is too short to visit again. So I adjust the rating to 3 stars, representing neutral.
It is the 4.4 rating showed in the google review that “assured” us to this place but it turned out to be an unpleasant experience.
Firstly, the service is bad. The waiter cannot speak English and we had difficulty to order. After ordering, the waiter walked down to the bar and talked to another waiter with exaggerated gestures and rolling eyes, laughing at my ordered beer. I saw and knew this because the bar is just 4-5 meters away and the name of beer is Patagonia, a distinct English name. Later, I asked another waiter who speaks a little English, what they were talking about my beer. He posted a “no comment” smile. If you were in the situation, you soon realize something is going on behind you.
Secondly, the food is so-so, not exceeding expectation. It is not only us, the couple besides us complained about wrong dishes were served.
It is our first day in Buenos Aires, and my wife and I regret we chose this place. Ok, what can we say... Perhaps they are not so friendly to foreigners. If you are tourists like me, think about twice before you walk in.
At the end, I still left some tips for the waiters who served us, of...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars for my dining experience, I would. Our dining experience started with a random waiter slamming a bottle of the house wine on our table and walking away. The waitress came along to take our order and explained the house wine was the recommended wine. We accepted her recommendation, regrettably...it was thin and bland. The steaks were poor quality cuts and overcooked; we had to send one order back - The order was for rare and the steak was well done. After a while, we gave up hope of an enjoyable dinner. The waitress, absent most of the meal, served the salad by scraping it onto our plates. The worst part was when the waitress hinted that she needed to turn the table for the next guests by putting the new plates and table settings on the table while we were still dining!!! I wish we would have read the mixed reviews on Aires Criollos instead of taking our concierge's recommendation. Skip this place and go to Don Julio or Lalo for an exceptional dining...
