As most people in Argentina, we were caught off guard by Covid-19. Us 4 Americans were in the country the day the President of Argentina announced that all Americans had 3 days to depart the country. We heard this news at the airport from our hunting guides at David Denies. Our guides highly recommended this hotel to us for an overnight stay since our flights could only happen the next day. They called the hotel to let them know they had 4 Americans looking for rooms overnight. The hotel said they could accommodate us. We drove to the hotel to check in. While waiting to check in at the hotel, a group of people who worked at the hotel summoned a security guard and conferenced off to the side. They then rudely asked us to leave the hotel, even after they had begun the check in process. One nice gal at the counter repeated apologized to us for the way security and the manager were treating us. Needless to say, we will not darken the door of this hotel in any of our travels again. We have also strongly urged the David Denies organization to reconsider recommending this hotel for their guests in the future. Its times like this that we realize who are true partners are! The Raddison quickly accommodated us and reassured us that most hotels and the people of Argentina are not like our experience at...
Read moreIt's a lovely hotel situated within walking distance of the main touristic spots in Cordoba. Breakfast -although it did not vary at all during our long weekend stay there -was delicious and presented with care. The servers were always attentive and made sure that the buffet was replenished. Reception was accommodating and efficient. The in-house bar was not at all expensive and the servings were generous. The only sore spot is the SPA. Granted the lady was substituting and she was charming however it was an "are you kidding me moment?!" Really, my six-year-old daughter can give a better massage. The exfoliating rub was applied with so much love and care that it did not exfoliate at all! A thin layer was applied on top of my leg and that was it. And then, everything was sponged off with a cloth and a bowl of tepid water. It was really an amateur act! Just stay out of the spa! It's not worth it! I always try out the spa in every hotel I go and they've been relatively good or really excellent. This one is sooooooo bad, it's in a league of its own. Other than that, the hotel is...
Read moreThis is a moden hotel, where the rooms are quite large, bathroom has large shower with excellent water pressure, and the heating system is the most quiet I have had in a standard business hotel. The breakfast buffet offered many choices. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and spoke excellent English. This hotel is on a major avenue, and the historic center is literally less than 5 minutes walk (you walk out turn right and then go about 350 years). Do be aware that the historic area is now trendy, and on a Friday and Saturday evening does attract late evening crowds. (You might pack ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.) ||The only negative for English speakers is that there were no cable TV channels in English. The only other negative I can think of is that the bathroom has no shaving/makeup mirror and the lighting is that high efficiency type which is really harsh, thus making it almost impossible to apply makeup in...
