Pueblo Indio — Hotel in Municipio de Tilcara

Certainly a beautiful location in a dry, desert, mountain town with tourists and shops and many food choices. The hotel itself serves its purpose and you may get a decent night’s sleep. However, during my stay the check in personnel and hotel itself demonstrated some of the characteristics that “paying” clientele may lose patience with. The bathroom toilet tank doesn’t hold water and I shouldn’t have to fix it. The hotel should know ventilation in a room is important. Clientele shouldn’t have to open doors to have ventilation. Restaurant seating is just outside my “patio” door and it was not my favorite thing to have a local, stray black cat make a foray into my room. Restaurant food was delicious and is attached to the property, it’s just, like most overly spoiled Americans, I prefer the number of flies in the dining room, no, at my table particularly, be kept to less than 20. Shower water was hot, they are nice enough to post a sign in Spanish advising the water in the room isn’t drinkable but they put a glass next to the sink...||As for my discussion with staff in searching for a room with air flowing through without inviting people off the street and/or stray farm animals. The other room available was next to the street with cars and pedestrians and the door to the “patio” was broken. Fun watching him trying to manhandle it. He said there were other rooms available but they were higher priced. That’s where the review comes from. In this culture, clientele is not number one. I’m allowed to pay for a broken toilet and a stuffy room.||Nice...

Well stocked cabins just like the pics. That’s the truth. Now, let’s talk about what you will have to accept as part of the deal: not cheap. the breakfast is incredibly paltry. But so are most breakfast in Jujuy. you’ll have to remind them, multiple times, to give you an invoice. they’ll try to feed you some cockamamie story on why the WiFi never works. “This is a poor community. We only have one antenna. When it’s too windy the WiFi goes down in the whole town.” You believe them. Then, one day later, you move to another hostel or hotel or cabin complex and you’re streaming Ozark on your computer. Turns out the town is outfitted with fiber...

Habitación moderna y muy comfortable con sommier, Internet (inestable en todo tilcara), direct tv, amenities en baño de muy buena calidad. Toallones grandes lo que me parecio un muy buen detalle. Desayuno bufett incluido muy bueno y variado Recepción se puede dejar equipaje. |Es planta baja y primer piso Todo por escaleras agotador por la altura 2400m sobre el nivel del mar. Los 20 escalones a la habitación 3 que es donde me aloje parecieran 200, llegaba com taricardia así que hay que caminar muy despacio incluso en la calle.|Es super céntrico. A 3 cuadras de la plaza de artesanos y municipalidad.|En el frente tienen el cartel multicolor con la leyenda tilcara. En el mismo predio tienen un restaurante que también es de muy buena calidad la comida. |Además en el radio de 4 o 5 cuadras tienen todo tipo de tiendas. |Otro detalle el estacionamiento es gratuito pero por orden de llegada, así que no esta garantizado.|Tilcara esta precioso vale la pena quedarse un par de noches o usarlo de base para visitar otras...
