A delightful small cafe inside a book store (or a bookstore surrounding a cafe with walls of books, to buy or to borrow). The coffee is nice (although, honestly, nothing to write home about), but it is the charm of the place and the people that will conquer you. As soon as you step in the warmth of the natural wood of bookshelves, tables and chairs will make you feel warm, even in a cold day up in the Ande mountains. Huge plus, besides books this is one of the very few places left (in Argentina? in the world?) where you can still find and buy postcards! And also delightful hand-made scrapbooks and diaries.The Ekeko is the Tiwanakan (pre Columbian civilization) god of abundance and prosperity and the place also promotes local culture, through books, handicraft, foods and local drinks...

Cute little coffeeshop in Tilcara! We had cafe con leche and a piece of chocolate and dulce de leche cake. They’re not the best I’ve ever had, but I would recommend both as they did the job. The place is full of charm, with books that you can buy and others (used) that you can borrow, to read while you sip on your drink. Service was friendly and prices...

Excelente lugar para ir a merendar! Bonito, barato y buenísimo! Un Capuchino, un cortado, dos cafés con leche, una porcion de lemon pie, otra de manzanas y un tostado de jamón y queso $820!! Tanto el lemon pie como la de manzanas no tienen nada que envidiarle a las patisseries porteñas. Las porciones son abundantes y te das menuda pansada en una tarde lluviosa. Ni mencionar si te quedas con hambre y vas por lo salado: el tostadito es para compartir y tiene un fiambre que te quedas pipxn. Por otro lado, te ofrecen libros tanto para comprar como para leer durante tu estadía. Si esperas un servicio ágil, pues este lugar no es para vos. Pero si estás dispuestx a disfrutar de una tarde en dónde te atiendan amablemente, puedas leer un libro acompañadx de ricas cositas y económicas.. este lugar no podés perdertelo!
