Posada del Angú — Hotel in Puerto Iguazú

The posada was was far better than any of the 3 and reportedly 4-star hotels I stayed on this trip. The room was new and nice, sparkling clean, with strong WiFi and AC, and a huge shower with a strong stream of hot water. The posada has only three rooms so it’s quiet but yet only one street off the commercial street and one block from the bus station that has busses every 15 min that take you to the Iguazú falls. |Checking in was a great experience and the lady that runs the place helped me prosper my next day with even a map of the falls and tips on what to see first once there. Amazing. And I was offered a drink while we chatted, something I’ve only experienced in some asian countries. |The included breakfast is also another highlight of the place, and they have croissants, fruits, pastries, fresh orange juice, coffee, eggs, toast and butter. All served at your own table when you desire! I could never finish everything they were serving and all was very tasty. |The only minor inconvenience is that I was asked ahead of my trip to pay in cash. Not a huge deal but something to keep in mind. |Just book this place already, you...

We had a perfect 1 night stay at this beautiful guesthouse located in the center of town. After spending all day at the falls on a rare cold and rainy day, we arrived shivering and soaked to the bone. Immediately, the extremely gracious host, Lisi, welcomed us and offered to dry all of our wet belongings. This was amazing news, as we had to pack our things and leave for Rio the very next day. ||Lisi is so sweet and helpful. She gave us a few suggestions to do in town, made a delicious fresh and local breakfast, and even helped arrange our taxi service into Brazil.||We had the room with 2 double beds and it was perfection. Silent, dark and immaculately clean. It seemed the guesthouse has been recently renovated. The shower was amazing. And the beds were so so comfortable.||I really wish we could have stayed a few more days with Lisi. I can't thank her enough for her amazing hospitality. She's doing great things with this sweet little property! ||We will definitely be returning to visit here...

Lisi, our host, made a good stay a GREAT stay. She was available to me from moment of booking, answering questions and arranging for our pick-up from the (Brazilian side) airport (120R for 2, incl. appx. 10 min. 2-part customs stop). We have rarely stayed at a cleaner place. Pictures do not do justice to simple but well-equipped room and bathroom. Breakfast @ 7 was 'homemade' and complete, holding us until supper at 7:30. Lisi told us exactly how to approach Falls on our own, far more relaxing than any tour (though it is a strenuous 5-6 hour r/t incl.bus from town). Posada was convenient to anything in town you might need, including Mama's (homemade) Pasta for supper.|Would STRONGLY recommend...
