Hotel Regidor is located on the wonderful & central Plaza de 9 de Julio & for this reason I give it a rating of 4.||It's a case of you get what you pay for! ||It's a 2* hotel, charging 2* prices.||If you want more luxury, then book into one of the other centrally located hotels, e.g. The 4* Salta hotel. We stayed at both hotels & they were both great for what we paid.||The rooms at the Regidor are compact, but everything worked. ||I would recommend asking for a room onto the street. One of our rooms was on the 3rd floor & the window was onto a small courtyard at the back - not all that nice.||The breakfast is very basic - hot drink & toast or medialunas. I've seen at least 4 different rooms as I haven't got the one and only advertised on internet with the big windows facing the lovely park and trees! And that IS the only room actually with a view. So are the bathrooms.||Once you get used to that "simplicity" it's an OK Hotel, and the hotel staff will cheer you up as they are very friendly. Breakfast is very simple but nice.||||So overall, if you are looking for a budget Hotel in Salta downtown and just need a place to crash while doing excursions all day, then it's a good choice. I guess for the money...

I was surprised by how pleasant the room was. It fact all of the hotel's facilities are very nice and well maintained.||||A hotel staff is available 24 hours / day.||||Breakfast is a cup of coffee, croissants and a small cup of orange juice.||||This is not a 5 start hotel, but for the value I received, and the location, location, location, I am rating everything excellent about Hotel Regidor.||||Next time I am in Salta, this is the ONLY place I was stay on...
