Berrima Reserve — Hotel in Berrima

Nice quiet, leafy spot by the river with basic but clean toilet facilities (with plenty of paper, but no lights at night, so bring a torch) and a stone, covered picnic area. Cold showers available (cubicles, not open changerooms). 4 x good-sized, clean camping sites available with reasonable personal space, but these MUST be booked in advance online (and are popular). Sites 1-3 are closest to river and suit tents, campervans, and smaller caravans. Site 4 is better for large caravans and maneuvering. Site 1 is the best apparently. Site 3 is good for reasonable privacy. River walk nearby. A short drive or an easy stroll (a couple of kilometres perhaps?) in to Berrima town centre for food, pub, local crafts and produce, etc. A beautifully picturesque, peaceful, well-loved historic little town. Escape to this beautiful spot in the southern Highlands for the fresh air and green forest. Enjoy easy path ways, clean and good picnic area, a playground well maintained... and a refreshing swimm in the river. Good plan for all the family. A perfect excuse to get away without spend hours and hours on the road to get this amazing area, if don't have too much time this is great for a day or spent some nights camping or staying at the country style accommodation around. Beautiful spot to camp with basic toilets and shower. lots of foot traffic through camp site because proximity of local swimming hole and nice walk perfect for bird watching. If you are lucky you might spot a platypus! Council allows you to book 2 nights only stay. And be prepared for late coming freeloaders. We booked the whole site and still people wanted to squeeze in without paying. Normally I wouldn't care, but since we paid for whole site we wanted some privacy and safe space for kids and dogs.
