Too long to read: great amenities, filthy cabin floor
————-
There are a lot of positives and negatives. I’ll start with the positives. big spacious park and safe for kids playground and pool facilities, jump pad, carts -close to the beach -walking distance to the town -big range of cabins or sites to choose from -friendly staff and friendly townspeople
Negatives
-had to book 3 nights and Inverloch is especially boring if the weather isn’t great. I’d have liked 2 nights only cabin floors are absolutely filthy. The bedding was clean and the dishes, but the floors outside are cleaner since the rain and wind at least cleans it. The cabin floors have probably not been wiped since they’ve been built. This is a real problem when you’re holidaying with kids. A really big turn off. Don’t get a cabin if you have young kids and want to take care of basic hygiene I ended up leaving 1 night early, the weather changed and was terrible … which meant I’d be able to use the pool etc, but not much outdoor things , thus meaning I’d be in the cabin more with kids. That’s all fine… we have books we can read and screens to watch on… but I didn’t feel like being in the cabin filth and having to tell kids to be careful not to drop stuff on the floor. The stress that the filth caused me was not worth staying the night that I’d already paid for.
to put this into perspective, I let me kids walk barefoot outside and I do too. They can sit on the ground outside and play in mud etc etc. but this cabin, it was absolute filth and kids are just too close to the ground. Heck even the public toilet floors seemed cleaner than this place. I went home to a clean shower and a clean floor. Disappointing really because it isn’t cheap per night.
If I do go back I’d rather camp or stay elsewhere and just come here as a day guest. Would not take a cabin.
I’m between a 2 and 3 stars for this place. If you want a cabin, don’t go here. If you want a site and a nice family friendly...
Read moreThe park's location is excellent, and the accommodation matches its online representation - Acceptable; however, the management's poor communication and rigid adherence to policy on Saturday morning were disappointing. Our group of 12 included a heavily pregnant mother of three, an elderly grandfather, and a guest on crutches. We booked two premium 2-bedroom villas at the rear of the park (6 per villa), assuming two vehicles per villa would not be an issue, especially considering the size of the villas and the higher fees. Upon our late arrival, we were informed that only one vehicle per site was allowed. Despite the inconvenience, we complied due to the late hour. The next morning, I approached reception to request an exception for just one additional vehicle, given our unique circumstances. Unfortunately, the response was dismissive, with the manager stating, “Park policy allows only one vehicle per site,” despite the park being less than 50% occupied, as confirmed by the after-hours staff at check-in. The justification of a "safety issue" felt contradictory, especially given the low occupancy and the ample space on our site, which could have easily accommodated multiple vehicles. (ref pic below) Ironically, management directed overflow vehicles to park on the adjacent street, which was full and likely inconvenienced neighbours. I am curious how the local council views this policy, particularly in relation to accommodation quotas, and I plan to raise this concern. This policy feels inconsistent and unnecessarily rigid. In cases like ours, empathy and flexibility should take precedence over strict adherence to rules. It was disappointing that the manager refused to make reasonable accommodations under these circumstances. I recommend seeking a more accommodating venue if traveling as a larger group, as this park seems to treat large parties the same as single tent site bookings—a clear failure of management in...
Read moreWe had a really wonderful time here.
We travelled with our two kids (both under 5) and enjoyed all the facilities available - pool, splash park (this was probably more suited to older kids and we didn’t use this as much but it was a really fun setup), pedal bikes and bike pump track, basketball ring, playground, games room and jumping pillow (highlight for one of our kids). We also used the washing room (dryers were also available).
Facilities on site that we didn’t make use of but are available - camp kitchen, toilet and shower blocks, mini golf.
We stayed in one of the ensuite cabins and while it was compact it met all our needs. The unit did get warm during the day and quite cool overnight but the in built aircon/heater was enough to keep us all comfy.
The shower had a mini bath at the base which was enough to bathe the kids.
Towels and bedding (including pillows) were provided. The kitchen had plates, cups, cutlery and basic utensils (tongs, egg flipper etc) and included a microwave, gas stove, fridge and freezer (proper freezer, not like a motel freezer that is part of the fridge section, and included an ice tray). They also have tea towels, cloth and dish cloths.
A broom and iron and ironing board can be found in the ensuite. The bathroom included a body wash/ hand wash as well as shampoo and conditioner.
Staff were friendly and everything was clean and well maintained.
Other guests were really respectful and the park has a quiet rule in place from something like 10pm-8am which meant everyone could get some sleep.
It was walking distance to the beach and for those able to walk a bit further we walked into the main town area (1-2kms away).
Our cabin was not wheelchair accessible but they may have options available for people with mobility needs.
We are already planning a return trip and would highly recommend to families looking for a holiday spot that has lots of child...
