I'd give a 2& 1/2 star if I could Perfect location has wonderful amenities on site like amazing restraunts 4 I think, a gym, a masage and buty parlor, an arcade place for kids, an out door pool and more. Perfect if you have loads of cash for these unnessary extras. It was stupidly cheaper for our stay as a couple to book a room with two double bed rather than one for 2 people (make that make sense prophert wise) also lacks essential daily living amenities the room we stayed in. When you want a nice holiday and want more money for better things than dining out on fancy restraunts the options are discraceful. $10 a day extra for a microwave too bad if you have little ones who are still on milk and baby food. No toaster either, only a small kettle in which a microwave could heat hot water if nessary. 4 teaspoons a small slection of tea and coffee, an empty buscuit jar with tongues 4 coffee cups, 2 drinking glasses 2 wine glasses, 2 bottles of complementary red and white wine 🤢 but no cutlery, bowls or saucers, we got knives and forks from room service, I guess they could het bowls and things. Intrusive staff who clean rooms (I know it's their job), while you are away these policies need reviewing by management as it is an invasion to privacy and no room service signs given to guests to hand on the door. We got a cheep electric fry Pan to cook on our balcony as there are no outdoor barbecues available for guests to cook own food, also all restraunts food is limited especially for allergies, cultural reasons.
we got a courtesy letter that all rooms have sensitive smoke detectors and as a precautionary measure "discourages" the use of appliances including coffee machines, rice cookers, toasters, sandwich pressers, air friers and similar cooking items. If the fire alarm goes off due to these appliances it will cost $2000 aud for the call out. A risk worth taking I recon🤣. when cooking outside on the balcony with the door mostly shut (as ther is a plug just inside near the door)to be able to eat for under $100 a night dinner alone minimum when $150 was breakfast lunch and dinner for two for 3 days and nights with left overs and junk. The bathroom we had had a rain water head not ideal for those who don't like them hand helds are cheaper and would also help cleaners clean the bathroom tiles better as ours were soap scum dirty in spots & the tap in the bathroom sink had brown soap scum around it not scrubbed properly nor was the tap. No toilet brushes left in bathrooms. Cleaners enter and clean rooms when you are out so use the safe and if you have stuff to big to store in it. Keep an eye on it. They don't supply do not clean / I'm sleeping door signs.
We got too much furnature a useless chair worth around $300 on a Google search. In our squishy enough room blocking the sliding door. Could have given a microwave more useful and costs less the place is all about Aesthetics not priority. It includes a useless bed runner a wardrobe that can fit my suitcase for...
Read moreWe stayed at Seaworld resort through my queensland holiday packages.
In all, absolutely incredible. The park was walking distance. The pools were incredible and the sunset is magical. The kids loved it and it was great for our first family holiday.
The rooms were clean, a bit of dust in the vents but nothing gross.
I feel the mattresses may be about due to update and my request for a contour pillow wasn't able to be met. If fluffy isn't your thing, bring your own pillow. I understand seaworld is more for the kids but us oldies need a spoil too. Our necks spend more money if they're not sore.
The buffets - amazing. We did a buffet dinner at the foreshore restaurant as well as breakfast every morning. Kudos to the chefs and crew. The food was always on point. Even when we ordered from the standard menu, it was delicious. Oh, and the butter chicken - hands down brilliant 👏
We found the rooms were clean and spacious but internet connection is pretty tedious. It drops out alot and we had to painfully reconnect via Chrome cast 3 times through out Billy Madison 2. They also dont sport things like shower caps, sanitary bags and the shampoo available is that horrible tea smelling stuff. Definitely BYO toiletries. There isn't much storage, we had 4 people in one room and this isn't really reflected in the design. There were no cleaning supplies so cleaning up after ourselves was near impossible (thankyou and sorry house keeping ❤️) and we found that getting changed was complex with only 1 bathroom. Ventilation in the bathroom was also lacking so 4 people after a morning of buffets - the math didn't work. We also found the shower didn't drain well so we were constantly flooding the bathroom and needing to use one of the only 4 towels intended for personal use. No beach towels were supplied either but always replaced with fresh dry towels when requestsd.
It sits a 10 minute drive from all shops so our late chemist need was unable to be met via the resort or doordash (we needed sting cream and bepanthen and wasn't able to get them until morning)
What stood out was the staff - absolutely everyone was so friendly and willing to make us comfortable. Even in the crazy morning buffets - they were composed and kind. There's one evening bar girl who was a bit sour towards her co-workers but we all have off days.
There's not much public transport or shuttle access so uber was our friend which turns quite expensive. Id hire a car next time.
It was an awesome first experience, I had anxiety coming into this trip but seaworld resort definitely took the edge off. Welcome wines were absolutely amazing - we were expecting a glass on arrival so this was a welcomed surprise and delicious. The beach is a 5 minute walk and fairly secluded, we felt like we had it to...
Read moreWhere do I even start? Upon arrival (finally checked in at 3:30 after a guaranteed 3pm check in) we were told we had 2 bottles of wine and would we like them there and then. We said no as we had a lot of luggage and the manager said no problem we will have them bought up to your rooms. We also had pre booked a microwave for 1 of the rooms as there is an infant in our group and that also was not in the room. We followed up a 2nd time about the wine and the microwave and were told yes yes yes it's coming. Husband went down for the 3rd time and the lady working questioned him over the wine and if he actually received it or not - alluding to the fact that maybe we were trying to scam them and that she could check the cameras... still no wine or microwave. 4th attempt and they finally gave us our wine and the microwave eventually was bought up.
2nd day and the children were playing on the water park and 1 of our 7 year olds was going down a waterslide and ended up with a clean gash that opened under her chin. The manager sent us to a medical centre that was not able to manage that so we found another centre and the little one ended up with glue. We went back and the manager was very dismissive, trying to tell us that a few months ago 2 boys running at each other flat out did the same damage. Ok but this is a little girl going slowly on a little slide. We are very concerned about what is sharp enough on their waterpark to cause such injury and now 1 child is not allowed to get wet 2 days into her 1st holiday to Queensland. The managers attitude was pretty much too bad too sad and she offered breakfast for 1 day to say "sorry" and 1 movie in the room.
The breakfast - don't bother lol $47 pp for average, luke warm food.
The next day, we had dirty sheets that were not changed during the "clean" and we asked the manager and he said they would be changed. 15 hours later we are still waiting.
I found an unexplained amount taken off my credit card on file and when questioned they said it was for the cot, which of course no problem at all but they never mentioned they were taking it on check in and took it out in weird amounts (not as 1 amount). I should not find out about an extra charge by checking my credit card statement.
We are here 2 more nights so who knows how that will go. We check in to new accommodation on Thursday and tried to move earlier but they are all booked out.
The location and the inclusions are good here but the service is the worst I've ever encountered to be honest. Dismissive, lazy and rude and you're treated just...
