Lobby Lounge High Tea — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

We stayed at the resort and had dinner here. The food was excellent but the service was poor.

We ordered lamb sank, butter chicken and kids grilled chicken. Lamb sank was very tasty with full of flavours, butter chicken was top notch, like very flavourful and yum. Grilled chicken was good too. Definitely worth the price.

Coming to their service it’s pathetic, we were waiting to seat and could see many tables were ready to be occupied but still the two people in the reception completely ignored us and the table until we asked for it. Even taking order was so long had to remind them multiple times. They didn’t even serve water until we asked for it.

After we finished, I went to pay at the counter there were two people talking about their work and completely ignored me. It took 10 minutes for them to respond.

Maybe the staff are trying to do their best but that are fall short as clearly they are understaffed. I get training for new ones is required but shouldn’t be at the cost of customer time. Hope the management realise this and train their staff with commitment of...

I think this “Resort” should be ashamed of the food and lack of service provided. We booked for two nights here, Saturday and Sunday. We thought we would have the buffet tonight but it’s closed, we thought okay the boat shed, also closed. So we opted for the Lobby dining. We ordered fish and chips at $25 each, we thought being on the spit a nice piece of fish but alas no we were served three small pieces of frozen fishy fish, a basket of fries and a small tub of pre portioned bought in tartare sauce that we had to pull the foil off of. The best thing about the meal was the tartare sauce. The customer service, there was none. No how was your meals, in fact we hadn’t even eaten half of our meal when we were asked to go to the desk to pay so they could settle the till. We actually didn’t know they closed at 8:15 as we read it was open till 10. What a disappointment this has been. From start to finish our time at the Lobby lounge was a great experience we where met with the amazing Taine who really went out of his way to make us feel so welcome and looked after, he is polite and has great customer service skills and made us feel like he was our personal waiter or bar tender he really went out if his way to make sure we where happy and I was watching it wasn't just us he was like this with all his customers so thanks Taine Ur amazing. then we met Estaban ( sorry if it's spelt wrong) he is also amazing and so helpful and really wanted to make sure us as customers where looked after even after one of the biggest nights he was still lovely and accommodating imreally thankful.
