RACISTS!!! My family and I came to spend holidays at the Sea World Resort. We came here to relax, have a good time and be happy. We had dinner at one of the resort restaurants every single night and, every night we waited to be seated and were told we could choose any table. Tonight we went to the Japanese restaurant and found no one at the reception and, when we looked around, the restaurant was empty – only very few tables were taken. We simply took a seat and ordered our food.
A few minutes later, we were approached by a rude man who kicked us out of the restaurant. He said that table was taken (even though there was hardly anyone at the restaurant) and that if we wanted to be seated and eat in that restaurant, we needed to come back 20 minutes later…
First of all, the restaurant was empty and REMAINED empty.
Second of all, the table we chose was pretty ordinary… I highly doubt anyone requested that table specifically. But even if they had, he could have simply moved us to one of the MANY empty tables they had available.
Third of all, what difference would 20 minutes do in a completely empty restaurant?! It was very clear to me that man was trying to prove a point, teach us a lesson and ruin our night / holiday.
My main observation and question is… would he have acted in the same way if my family was blond, white and born in Australia?!?! I highly doubt it.
As a result, my husband and I walked out and went to Misono Japanese Restaurant. We were very well treated and had an amazing and delicious meal. We spent around $200.
My family and I have been having dinner at the resort every night since we arrived, however, we’ll no longer have dinner here anymore.
I feel sorry for this racist man. He must have a very sad life if he’s doing that to...
Read moreMy wife, my 3 year old son and I sat down and ordered our meal and drinks. So far, so good. We were waiting when then out of the blue a male manager appeared and asked: Have you guys booked for this table? We answered: “No, we came in and sat down. There was no sign at the front or anyone, so we picked this table. Why?” The waiter changed his expression and said: “I need to ask you guys to leave and book for a table as I can’t serve you right now”. It took a few seconds until the coin really dropped. He was literally removing us from the restaurant for their own mistake and his own pride and prejudice. We didn’t know we had to wait to be seated as there wasn’t anyone at the door or any sign. Besides that, 15 min prior, a waitress came and took our order without any trouble. 15 min later we were getting kicked out.??? We stayed outside for some time afterwards and many tables were still vacant… We were misjudged and there wasn’t even an attempt from this man to understand the situation. The food can be amazing, which we didn’t have the chance to even try. I am sorry but I can’t comment on that. But the conduct and ethic of the business is just disgusting. When I usually comment on something online is usually to appreciate others people service, talents and hard work but today I felt so discriminated that I was compelled to share this unfortunate one . Because no one should have to tolerate this kind...

This was my 1st time using frist table (got 50% discount) and here is my review for this venu (only a la carte)
sushi chef call in sick (no sushi/sashimi orders) - ok understandable ordered main barra, salmon, chicken teriyaki, tempura prawns dishes. barra tastes awful (if its not off, shouldnt be in the menu - very strong unwelcome flavour and $40???). tempura was nice but we waited for another 15min to come others. teriyaki was ok but only came with rice, mixed lettuce, one single slice tomato, some cucumbers and mayo - I wouldnt pay $26 for it, do something nice garnish or different mayos each dish! floor manager was ok. at least he tried resolve our issue. i didnt feel that we got served. my water glass was empty whole night, used share plates/chopstick from next empty table, went to see a staff for forks. maybe bcuz there was about 20 ppl big table behind us, but its not acceptable
Im not sure how the sushi, tepanyaki are great but overall I wont go here again even Ive got 50% discount. I felt sorry...
