I love Straddie, and don't mind paying a premium price for a campsite if you get a premium service. We paid $65 per night unpowered.||This is something you don't get here. ||We arrived at the campground at 10am and bluntly told the the checkin was 11am. We asked if the site was empty and told that it doesn't mater as the groundsmen would be doing work on the pitches blowing leaves etc. Please see pic attached. Maybe the groundsman had forgot to turn his blower on.||We went back at 11am to checkin again and bluntly told our checkin envelope is on the table. What are we paying a premium price.||To be honest we feel ripped off.||With 2 staff in the reception office with no customer service or people facing skills what so ever.||Who ever their managers are need to explain that the people paying these excessive fees are the people paying their wages.||Straddie is beautiful and would recommend it to anyone, but don't stay at these caravan parks until their attitude to...

Location is fantastic. Campground is really well maintained and service was brilliant. The beach was perfect for kids, with some small waves. We had a great few days and the kids made plenty of friends and spent a lot of time playing at the playground. Unfortunately we did have a large group of people partying, who played their electronic music very loudly and who then stayed up late playing beer pong, along with drunken screaming/ cheering. Coming back from the toilet block I thought I was 20 years younger and making my way to see main stage of a dance party. Then I realised I was over 40, had two young kids and bald. We put in ear plugs and managed to get to sleep but that kind of gross inconsideration is very disappointing. I mean if you want to do that find a place on the beach were you can be a degenerate without impacting others. We’ll go back, but probably in the low season and we’ll try and avoid large groups of drunks so we can enjoy the...

This campground is in an amazing position and has the potential to be fantastic; beautiful setting and wildlife, right on the beach. |Unfortunately from the minute we arrived and were met by a grumpy man at the front office, our experience wasn’t positive. I stood in the rain at the office while he was serving a group of people who were obviously having difficulty communicating in English. The man showed his annoyance in his manner. When I was finally served he just pointed me towards the ‘check in’ envelopes that were waiting in a basket, for when the office was left unattended. It was clear he had no interest in explaining the details to me. |The toilets and showers remained in a filthy condition throughout the four days we were there. I ended up setting up our porta- potty so I didn’t have to use them (the park was quiet at the time). Even the washing machines were coated in sand. |Thoroughly disappointing after looking forward to our visit...

We stayed at Adder Rock Campground on Stradbroke Island in our Hyundai iMax campervan (just over 5m long) and camped in the Frogger section. We had the back of the van facing straight towards the water—only about a 10m walk onto the sand. Perfect spot! If you have a kayak or stand-up paddleboard, definitely bring it—on a calm day, the water here is really flat and ideal. The staff were super friendly and do a great job keeping the place tidy with mowing and whipper snipping, making sure the view to the water stays open and clear. I’d definitely recommend this spot whether you’re in a tent, campervan, or RV with a powered setup. Can’t wait to come back!

We had a family Easter camping trip here and it was a core memory to me and my family the location speaks for itself it truly feels like the true lands of the native with endangered species and native animals that were all harmless and beautiful atmosphere to be around and fish and camp with the bathrooms and cooking area and kids playground and beach and shops just short walking distance was so convenient especially when you have little ones and the staff was friendly and helpful and always around to be of assistance will truly unforgettable experience and highly highly recommend thank you adder rock !!!

Blessed with an ecotent for 4 nights. Just perfect! Beautiful double bed, central fan, fridge and sand free floors...its a hotel room without a bathroom, which clean and well kept only a short walk away. Adder Rock beach a 2 min walk to calm crystal clear waters. Home beach a 4 min walk to surf and all the beach you could want to walk along. Staff friendly and accommodating. I loved falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves and curlews. Highly recommend and will be going back.
