Bombora Beach House — Hotel in Greater Brisbane

I don’t usually leave reviews but every now and then you come across something special. We stayed in the Studio at Bombora – totally self contained, clean and cosy- for a couple all you need ( and cheaper than the whole house). The studio , like the rest of the property has magic views which is great for checking the swell, watching the whales migrate and at night the sky comes alive with stars. We had friends staying in the main house at the same time so had a good look around! Five star property with good appliances, access to Spotify with sound system that provides tunes to the spacious balcony with large dining room table for a big group. All appliances up to the job of dealing with a large group. The 90 cm oven and gas stove all good for those who like their home food a bit on the gourmet side. We got to use the swimming pool and it was clean and well maintained. Owner obviously has attention to detail as it was clear that paint touch ups and garden maintenance was keeping everything looking like new. Five stars from me and look forward to...

Stayed weekend of the 12th to 15th of February. Nice house and great views. However, for the price you pay would've expect better. The oven and BBQ needed a good clean by us. The floors around the lounge chairs were dirty. Bathroom pack consisted of 2 cakes of soap for the entire house, you would get more from a 3 star hotel. 3 The fridge did not keep food cold and had to throw out food. The freezer did not freeze. Left a message at discover stradbroke and emails, no response.

Definitely be staying elsewhere on...

We were three couples and a couple of kids. We loved this house. The set up makes it so easy for everyone to have their own space but there is plenty of room to all come together. The house is open and airy and the pool is a bonus when it gets too hot at the beach. I also appreciated the entertainment extras (games etc) for wet days and the kitchen was well set up to cook and feed a crowd. Would...
