My husband was served by a young Canadian / American girl, as I stood by. Friendly by nature, he asked her where she was from, how long she’d been here etc. she rudely evaded all questions, shut him down and all further conversation. It’s been typical of our stay on Stradbroke. If our tourist dollars are a source of resentment and our presence unwanted we are more than happy to take...

Fever on Straddie is a cute little caravan located near the bowls club along with Lilytide island clothing and an Asian dumpling stall. Best coffee I've had in years served up with a great smile and local information. Spent a lovely hour there just sitting in the sun -...
