Caboolture Riverlakes Motel — Hotel in Greater Brisbane

Well, we were in quite the pickle and needed a room short notice to accommodate two adults and our co-sleeping infant, who I fed on the breast thanks to a convenient little couch in the corner of reception, as soon as we arrived (drinking the complimentary bottled water). We called ahead to check for a room and luckily there was one "treetop spa room" available! The spa itself was incredible, with gorgeous green views of the tree tops along the bank of the river, through the amazingly, streak free windows! Modern and tastefully decorated the room was mostly clean with only a few stray bits of grass on the carpet and tiny bit of something splashed on the ceiling above the microwave / fridge and quality, well stocked tea tray. The iron and board were invaluable, as our formal wear needed a press after a frantic morning of travel. Neat and tidy built in wardrobe /cupboard had hangers for guests to use. Bed and linen were clean and comfortable, like sleeping on a cloud really. Quality bathroom amenities, hair-dryer (thank goodness!!), and a large shower. Very clean and tidy with appropriate water saving tips discretely displayed, for those that like to see their accommodation providers taking responsibility. Our room wasn't wheelchair accessible, but there were many more that seemed accessible from the outside, particularly a two room apartment (maybe) next door with a tree top balcony that looked lovely. Booked for an elderly couple travelling from Melbourne and was told reception closed at 7pm. Was harassed (6:17pm) well before it advertised closing time to know when the guests were arriving as they wanted to go home. They said they would just leave a key somewhere and they could collect it when they arrived. They arrived shortly before closing time and were not offered any assistance to navigate to their room and they had to go down a number of stairs in a down pour and find the room themselves.

On the day of checkout they were late getting up and in effect rushed out of the room whilst one was finishing their shower. Speculation was that this was pay back for arriving "late" Friday night but since we were not there it is just a theory. We received a curt call from their receptionist to allow the gentlemen to talk to their daughter, as their mobiles were misplaced within their bags as they hurried out of the room to make the hotel happy. This was to organise a new pickup location for their transport back to the airport as it seems they were not welcome to stay at the hotel and wait.

After a number of tries they were finally able to find their transport, because of lack of understanding of the area, and made it to the airport on time.

Based on the experience we won't make this a place to stay the next time we are in Queensland.

Stop by at caboolture after 8pm, and need a bed to sleep n rest for 2 days with my niece, so I just Google accommodation near me and I look through in pictures n really like the look of this caboolture Riverlakes Motel of 2 bed in one room $145 per nite. My data not signal properly to book online a room, so I call n owner very nice got me a room that I ask 2 separate beds - wow one of the biggest room I ever stay in when travel, it's huge n more space. Comes with 1 queen bed, 1 single bed, both very comfortable with beautiful sheets, big round dining table with seats, wardrobe, iron n board, fridge, microwave, toaster, e kattle, dishes, towels, etc, own outdoor sitting area beautiful trees, swimming pool, backyard to the lake and next door to a huge huge garden park centenary lake that have a public playground, rugby field, tennis courts, athletic fields, bike court, BMX court, netball courts, dog court, bowling etc. You can exercise walk, run every footpath and admire the beautiful garden, trees, ducks, fountain, turtles birds etc beautiful.
