I have eaten at Golden Horse before, and like their food. This review is not about the quality of their food, but their dine-in service, and the experience we were subjected to.
I took the family there to celebrate a special occasion, when ordering, we enquired as to the ingredients of some of the dishes (spring rolls and wontons) as my family don't eat beef for religious reasons. The young lady couldn't tell me what meat was used, I told her to find out, and as long as they weren't beef or seafood, we'll have them.
Ended up being served them, was told she had checked and they were fine. Wontons were prawn 𤮠and spring rolls were beef. I noticed the beef, but not before my daughter had eaten a spring roll. Got the staff over, she was clearly shocked as she knew we weren't happy, so I told her we would pay for the drink we had opened, but was not paying for the spring rolls and wontons and we were leaving to go elsewhere.
The older lady agreed to us just paying for the drink after I pushed back when told I had to pay for the portion of spring rolls (1) and wontons (1) that we had eaten. She then argued that they have a minimum eftpos spend and I would have to buy another bottle of drink if I wanted to use eftpos, or I had to pay cash. I refused this, and offered eftpos for the one drink, or she could have the remaining drink back, and we'd leave. She then tried charging me an additional 50cents to cover her fees!
Not once did she apologise, and she kept yelling at me that they were not a vegetarian restaurant, even though all I asked was that her staff knew what the products contained that they sold.
My daughter was in tears as she had eaten beef, and not one staff member showed any concern or attempted to acknowledge our concern.
It's a shame we won't be going back, but at least we have Ruby Sun for all our takeaway needs (highly recommend Ruby Sun by the way, food never...

Their phone line is always pretty busy as well.. It takes about 5-10mins to be able to get through on the phone to place an order.
Always check your order before leaving, as usually something is missing that theyāve forgotten to put in.
The food is pretty good, Iād probably say the best in the moreton bay region⦠great proportions as well.
The car park is absolutely horrible⦠if you have a low car, be prepared to be hitting your bumper or plastic undertray on the carpark driveway entrance. Also their is only about 10 car parks available⦠not enough for people dining as well as picking up. However their is also limited street parking.
Pricing of the meals is constantly changing to the point where cost of living is definitely making a huge impact on this business⦠my families order 6 months ago was around $90 now its over $130 for the exact same order. They donāt publish their pricing online or on menus, because it constantly changes⦠please question pricing as we have been...

Hlwe have to ask for a glass for wine after 10mins of sitting there at the table,we then have to ask for a wine bucket for the wine that has no ice and was warm, asked to put cans into fridge... They were left on the table to go warm. The girls served 2 x can of drink to our 7yr old and 10 unopen no glasses and the 7yr old cut her hand opening the can. Asked for all the meals to come together... Yep that didn't happen.. No water was offered on the table. The young waitress dump your plate and never see them again, so extra sales are missed for more drinks, and food additions, desserts ect. Again this is the 3rd time we have tried to hope it was just a bad night and each time it's like dajavue it has been the exact same a service each time and we drive from inner Northside to come here because the food is good but they would honestly have the worst in house service I have even been to in Brisbane...and that's saying something.... But the food... Is amazing.. Again I recommend ordering takeaway and avoid the poor service this...
